Responsibilities & Context
Job Summary
Support day-to-day accounting operations for the tube manufacturing unit, including bookkeeping, production-cost data entry, inventory/WIP recording, tax and LC documentation, and MIS preparation.
Key Responsibilities
Accounting & Cost Support
Record day-to-day transactions (sales, purchase, expenses, journal entries) in the accounting system
Assist in product costing data entry and preliminary variance computations
Reconcile bank statements, ledgers, and supplier/customer accounts
Budgeting & MIS Support
Compile data for budgets, forecasts, and monthly MIS reports
Prepare routine reports (sales register, expense summary, stock reports) for the Manager
Cash & Working Capital Support
Assist with daily cash/bank position tracking and petty cash management
Follow up on receivables and process supplier payments per approved schedules
Inventory & WIP Support
Maintain stock ledgers, assist in physical stock counts, and update WIP records
Flag discrepancies between physical and book inventory
LC, Import, VAT & Tax Support
Prepare and maintain LC documentation, import cost sheets, and Bill of Entry records
Assist in VAT return (Mushak) preparation and challan/withholding tax documentation
Maintain organized records for audit and regulatory submissions
Controls & Compliance Support
Follow SOPs and checklists for all accounting entries and approvals
Support internal/statutory audit data requests and documentation
Maintain filing and archiving of financial and tax records
