Requirements & Experience
• Education: Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Textile Engineering, Apparel Technology, or Fashion Design.
• Experience: Proven experience as a Fit Technician or Garment Technologist with renowned international brands, including a minimum of 2 years of experience handling sweaters.
• Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge of garment construction, pattern grading, and multi-fabric shrinkage tolerances (Sweater, Knit, Denim, or Woven).
• Software Skills: Proficiency in specialized CAD software (Lectra Modaris 2D / Gerber/ Clo3D preferred) and PLM platforms.
• Communication: Strong verbal and written English communication skills for professional reporting to designer/buyer.
Responsibilities & Context
We are an international fashion retail brand looking to hire a Fit Technician for our Dhaka office.
Job Responsibilities
Fit & Sample Management: Receive, measure, and analyze Fit, Pre-Production (PP), and Size-Set samples against buyer Tech Packs and measurement charts.
Designer Liaison: Review and interpret fit comments and technical modifications; input precise pre-fit data into the PLM system.
Pattern Correction: Collaborate closely with CAD and pattern-making teams using Lectra/TUKA systems to resolve fit issues, twisting, drag lines, and grading imbalances.
Production Alignment: Lead Pre-Production Meetings (PPM) to address potential fit risks, fabric shrinkage behavior, and construction hurdles prior to bulk production.
Quality Assurance: Conduct physical fit sessions on mannequins to guarantee the correct silhouette, comfort, and drape required by fast-fashion demographics.
