Responsibilities & Context
Network & Infrastructure Management
Configure, manage, and maintain routers, managed switches, Wi-Fi access points, and internet connectivity across all 9 floors.
Monitor network performance and ensure reliable connectivity.
Troubleshoot LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, DHCP, DNS, routing, and connectivity issues.
Assist with VLANs and network segmentation to maintain secure separation between companies.
NAS & Storage Administration
Deploy, configure, and maintain dedicated NAS servers, such as Synology or QNAP, for the 9 companies.
Create and manage users, groups, shared folders, permissions, and storage quotas.
Configure and maintain file-sharing services such as SMB, NFS, and FTP/SFTP where required.
Monitor storage utilization, disk health, RAID status, and system alerts.
Data Security & Backup
Maintain strict network and storage isolation between individual companies.
Implement appropriate access-control policies based on organizational requirements.
Configure and monitor scheduled backups.
Regularly verify backup integrity and assist with data restoration when required.
Follow security best practices for administrator accounts, passwords, firmware, and system updates.
Troubleshooting & IT Support
Diagnose and resolve network outages, hardware failures, storage problems, and NAS-related issues.
Provide prompt on-site support for network access, Wi-Fi, shared folders, printers, and file-sharing issues.
Perform preventive maintenance and maintain technical documentation.
ISP & Vendor Coordination
Coordinate with Internet Service Providers and relevant hardware/service vendors.
Follow up on connectivity problems and service disruptions to minimize downtime.
