∎ Experience in the following areas is preferable: Object Oriented Programming, Design Patterns, Service-oriented-Architecture, Management Information System, Decision Support System, Geographic Information System, Web APIs, Database and Software Development, Mobile Apps Development, Report Writing, Training, etc.
∎ Experience with relational databases (specially, PostgreSQL, MySQL) is essential.
∎ Knowledge in SQL server, Oracle database and working experience in mobile application development will be considered as an added advantage.
∎ Technologies: MVC Framework, REST API, PostgreSQL, MySQL, ArcGIS/QGIS, ArcGIS Server/GeoServer, web technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, Bootstrap, etc.
∎ Proactive and Team Player with great enthusiasm to listen & solve.
∎ Language Requirements: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Bangla and English.

Responsibilities & Context:
∎ We are looking for some Programmers having experience in software development using ASP .Net/ ASP .Net Core/ PHP/ Python/ JAVA to develop and maintenance of functional and efficient web applications. The primary focus will be the development of applications and their integration, which includes participating in all phases of the software development lifecycle, and be a good team player. The candidate will be working alongside other developers working on different layers of the infrastructure. Therefore, commitment to collaborative problem-solving, sophisticated design and creating quality products is essential.
∎ Update existing applications as well as develop new applications using relevant tools, software, framework and database as per upcoming requirement.
∎ Write well-designed, testable and efficient code by using best development practices.
∎ Collaborate with software team members to determine best practices and client requirements.
∎ Professionally maintain all software and create updates regularly to address client and organization concerns.
∎ Understand the client’s requirements, software requirement specifications, and the architecture of assigned modules.
∎ Very good understanding of web application development process from the layout/ user interface to relational database structures.
∎ Maintain and enhance existing web applications and all internal systems.
∎ Ensure that you have experience in API development and integration.
∎ Stay plugged into emerging technologies trends and apply them to operations.
∎ The Center for Environmental and Geographic Information Services (CEGIS) is a Public Trust and center of excellence established by the Government of Bangladesh under the Ministry of Water Resources (MoWR). It is a scientifically independent organization certified by ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 and performs integrated environmental analysis using technologies like GIS, Remote Sensing, IT and databases. The working domain of CEGIS at large scale spans in the arena of providing intellectual services which includes Geo-informatics and Spatial Technology, Software and Database Development, Capacity Building and Research activities. CEGIS invites application from competent citizen of Bangladesh for appointment to the position of Programmer based on the below criteria:
