Trainee Electro-Technical Officer (Tr. ETO)

• B.Sc. in Electrical & Electronic Engineering (EEE) or Electrical Engineering.

• Minimum CGPA: 3.00 out of 4.00.

• Age At most 30 years

• Experience: Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply (Selected Candidates have to pay Training fees)

• Degree must be from a public or private university recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) of Bangladesh.

• Maximum age: 30 years as of the application deadline.

• Weight: 50-80 kg, subject to applicable medical fitness standards.

• Must meet the physical fitness and eyesight standards prescribed by the Department of Shipping and applicable international maritime requirements.

• Willingness to complete the mandatory six-month residential training programme and pursue a career at sea.

Pre-Sea Training Overview

• Selected candidates will undergo a mandatory six-month residential training programme at International Maritime Academy (IMA), Pubail, Gazipur.

• The programme includes theoretical instruction and hands-on preparation relevant to shipboard electrical systems, fault diagnosis, automated control systems, marine instrumentation, safety procedures and technical reporting.

• Details of applicable training costs, payment terms and related expenses will be explained directly to candidates during the recruitment enquiry process, before admission.

Shipboard Placement

• Candidates who successfully complete the prescribed training programme and fulfill the applicable statutory, certification and medical requirements will be provided guaranteed shipboard placement through Haque & Sons Ltd. onboard foreign-going merchant vessels. Salary and employment terms will depend on the applicable terms of employment and the assigned vessel.
