Job Overview
CEM Polymer Industries Limited is looking for a technically competent and commercially driven Sourcing Engineer – Assistant Manager to lead the international sourcing of machinery, equipment, plastic raw materials, chemicals, additives and related industrial items for our polymer manufacturing project.
The candidate will work closely with the management, technical team, overseas suppliers and local stakeholders to ensure timely sourcing of quality materials and equipment at competitive prices.
Key Responsibilities
Identify, evaluate and communicate with overseas manufacturers, suppliers and trading companies.
Source plastic raw materials, polymers, chemicals, additives, masterbatch and other production-related materials.
Source and coordinate procurement of plastic processing machinery, auxiliary equipment, laboratory equipment, spare parts and industrial accessories.
Obtain and compare quotations, technical specifications, commercial terms and payment conditions.
Conduct supplier evaluation and maintain a reliable international supplier database.
Negotiate price, MOQ, lead time, payment terms, warranty and other commercial conditions.
Coordinate with suppliers regarding PI, LC/TT, shipping documents, packing, inspection and delivery schedules.
Work closely with the technical and R&D teams to understand material and equipment specifications before procurement.
Coordinate with logistics, C&F agents and relevant internal teams for smooth import and delivery.
Co-ordinate with Production, R&D, maintenance, QC and meet their requirements as per production planning and sales forecast.
Monitor international market trends and identify cost-effective alternative sources.
Maintain proper sourcing records, supplier documentation and procurement reports.
