Assistant Officer/Officer - Internal Audit

Postgraduate in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline.

CA Course Completed (CC) / Articled students, or ACCA/CIA/CMA/CPA/CIMA Partly Qualified candidates will get preference.

Strong academic foundation with consistent academic performance.

High level of integrity and professional ethics; good communication skills in Bangla and English.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Basic knowledge of internal control and audit procedures.

Position may be upper/lower based on skills, competencies, experience and ability to work.

Basic knowledge of VAT, Tax, Accounting Standards (IFRS/IAS) and Auditing Standards.

Good command of MS Excel and MS Office; knowledge of ERP/SAP will be an added advantage.

Willingness to do frequent field visits to factories, warehouses, and sites, and to work on the production floor as required.

Eagerness to learn, ability to work in a team and independently, and to meet deadlines.

Participate in risk-based operational, process, and financial audits at factory and field level under the guidance of senior auditors, including process walkthroughs and preparation of Risk and Control Matrices (RCM).

Perform control testing, vouching, and substantive procedures on transactions and supporting documents; assist in data analysis to identify risk areas and control gaps.

Conduct physical verification of inventory, fixed assets, and cash, and take part in stock counts at warehouses and production floors.

Check compliance with company policies, SOPs, and factory financial transactions, including material consumption, wastage, and variance tracking.

Prepare clear audit working papers, document findings with evidence, and assist in drafting audit reports and practical recommendations.

Support the investigation team in reviewing cases arising from various sources.

Assist in preparing investigation plans and carry out assigned fieldwork with quality and timeliness.

Take part in interviews with witnesses and relevant personnel while maintaining strict confidentiality.

Collect, preserve, and organise evidence from documents, systems (SAP S/4 HANA), and site visits.

Analyse datasets using MS Excel/ERP reports to spot irregularities, unusual patterns, and root causes.

Assist in preparing factual investigation reports with practical recommendations for corrective action.

Coordinate with HR, Legal, Compliance, and other departments during audits and investigations.

Help identify fraud risks in day-to-day operations and suggest preventive controls.

Maintain organised and secure audit and case documentation with professionalism and confidentiality.
