Job Summary
We are looking for dynamic, self-motivated, and experienced professionals for the position of Assistant Manager / Deputy Manager / Manager – Marketing & Merchandising (Denim). The ideal candidate should have sound knowledge of denim product development, marketing, buyer sourcing, business development, merchandising, costing, order execution, and shipment follow-up in the garments industry.
Key Responsibilities
Develop new business opportunities and establish strong relationships with international buyers, buying houses, and sourcing offices.
Identify potential buyers and explore new markets for denim products.
Handle buyer communication, inquiries, price quotations, negotiations, and order confirmation.
Develop denim products according to buyer requirements, market trends, and target prices.
Prepare product costing, fabric consumption, CM calculations, and price offers.
Coordinate sample development, including proto, fit, size set, pre-production, and shipment samples.
Follow up on denim fabric sourcing, washing development, trims, accessories, and sample approvals.
Coordinate with Design, Product Development, Fabric Sourcing, Washing, Production, Quality, and Commercial departments.
Monitor order status, production progress, quality standards, and shipment schedules to ensure on-time delivery.
Analyze market trends, competitor activities, buyer requirements, and business opportunities.
Maintain regular communication with existing buyers and develop new buyer accounts.
Prepare marketing plans, sales forecasts, business development reports, and order status updates.
Ensure buyer specifications, quality requirements, and delivery commitments are properly maintained.
Lead and support merchandising team members according to the assigned designation.
Achieve departmental business targets and contribute to the company's growth and profitability.
Experience Requirements
Practical experience in denim marketing and merchandising in a denim garments manufacturing or export-oriented company.
Experience in buyer development, business promotion, product development, costing, and order execution.
Candidates with experience appropriate to Assistant Manager, Deputy Manager, or Manager level are encouraged to apply.
Required Skills and Competencies
Strong knowledge of denim products, fabrics, garment construction, washing techniques, and finishing.
Good understanding of international apparel markets and buyer requirements.
Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and business development skills.
Strong knowledge of garment costing, consumption, price negotiation, and order profitability.
Ability to develop new buyers and maintain long-term business relationships.
Good command of written and spoken English.
Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, and professional email communication.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, coordination, and leadership abilities.
Ability to work under pressure and meet business and shipment deadlines.
