Responsibilities & Context
Bangla Language Teacher – Early Years to Middle Level
The selected teacher will be responsible for the following duties:
- Conduct Bangla Language classes in accordance with the School’s curriculum, syllabus, academic guidelines, and teaching standards for students from Early Years to Middle Level.
- Plan and deliver age-appropriate, engaging, interactive, and student-centered Bangla lessons.
- Develop students’ skills in reading, writing, speaking, listening, grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, comprehension, and creative expression according to their age and academic level.
- Apply creative, innovative, and activity-based teaching methodologies to make Bangla language learning enjoyable, meaningful, and effective.
- Use storytelling, rhymes, poems, reading activities, handwriting practice, group work, presentations, role-playing, creative writing, and other interactive strategies to enhance students’ language and communication skills.
- Evaluate students’ classwork, homework, assignments, projects, and assessments regularly and provide constructive feedback to support their academic progress.
- Prepare lesson plans, worksheets, question papers, mark schemes, teaching materials, and other academic resources as required.
- Prepare and maintain accurate mark sheets, grades, academic records, and student progress reports.
- Provide additional academic support and guidance to students according to their individual learning needs and abilities.
- Encourage students to develop confidence in spoken and written Bangla and create a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment.
- Participate actively in Parent-Teacher Meetings and communicate students’ academic progress, strengths, and areas for improvement to parents/guardians.
- Support students’ overall academic, social, emotional, and personal development and help them develop essential communication skills, confidence, creativity, and positive values.
- Maintain effective classroom management and discipline while ensuring a safe, caring, and engaging learning environment.
- Participate actively in school events, academic activities, Bangla language and cultural competitions, workshops, training sessions, and other programmes organized by the School.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues and the academic administration to ensure consistency and continuous improvement in teaching and learning.
- Perform any other academic or administrative duties assigned by the School Authority.
