Responsibilities & Context
Operate and monitor block manufacturing plant and production machinery safely and efficiently.
Operate block-making machines, batching/mixing systems, conveyors, hoppers, feeders, and related equipment.
Ensure proper feeding and proportioning of raw materials such as cement, sand, stone dust, aggregate, and water as per production requirements.
Monitor the complete production process to ensure continuous and smooth operation of the plant.
Maintain required production quantity and product quality according to approved specifications.
Monitor machine performance and immediately report any abnormality, breakdown, or technical problem to the Maintenance/Engineering team.
Perform routine inspection and basic operational maintenance of plant and machinery.
Maintain daily production records, machine operation logs, material consumption records, and downtime reports.
Minimize material wastage and ensure efficient utilization of raw materials.
Coordinate with Production, Store, Mechanical, and Electrical teams for uninterrupted production.
Ensure proper cleaning and housekeeping of the plant, machinery, and surrounding work area.
Follow all workplace, machinery, electrical, and occupational safety procedures.
Ensure safe handling and operation of machinery and immediately report unsafe conditions.
Assist maintenance personnel during machine servicing, adjustment, and troubleshooting when required.
Maintain proper shift handover and communicate production or machine-related issues to the next shift/operator.
Perform any other duties related to plant operation and production as assigned by management.
