WAVE Foundation is implementing a project titled Strengthening Institutional Capacity for Democratic Reforms through Gender Responsive and Inclusive Participation in Decision Making in Bangladesh with support from the UN Electoral Assistance Project (BALLOT and DRIP). The project is funded by the Governments of Australia, Canada, Norway, Sweden, and Switzerland. This project aims to strengthen gender-responsive and inclusive democratic institutions in Bangladesh during a critical period of political reform. It focuses on enhancing the capacity of the Bangladesh Election Commission (BEC) to implement gender-mainstreamed electoral processes, develop the BEC Gender Strategy, and align with CEDAW General Recommendation 40. This project leads by WAVE Foundation and partnership with Action Aid Bangladesh. Simultaneously, the project empowers civil society organizations and women-led platforms to advocate for inclusive governance and women's political leadership. It will support national strategy development, civic engagement, and locally driven awareness campaigns, along with a small grants program to strengthen grassroots activism. To address systemic barriers, the project also strengthens referral mechanisms to prevent Violence Against Women in Politics (VAWP), improve coordination between BEC and One-Stop Crisis Centres, and promote safe political participation. The project is being implemented across 8 districts and 16 Upazilas: Jamalpur, Patuakhali, Khulna, Bogura, Kurigram, Satkhira, Mymensingh and Cox’s Bazar. WAVE Foundation invites applications from qualified candidates for the position of ‘Field Coordinator’ of this project in the working area of Khulna, Patuakhali, Mymensingh & Bogura.

Key Responsibilities:

The ‘Field Coordinator’ is responsible for overall field level implementation, Coordination & supervision of the project activities. He/ She is reporting to the Programme Coordinator & the Program Focal of this project. His/her duties and responsibilities, which are essential but not limited to:

• Coordinate all project interventions at field level;

• Closely working with multi- stakeholders to advocate for inclusive governance and women's political leadership.

• Working experience on gender, governance & inclusive participation;

• Facilitate project meetings, training, seminar, campaign and workshops;

• Manage project budgets, procurement, reimbursement, track project performance;

• Strong interpersonal, coordination, stakeholder engagement skills; ability to work with government counterparts & under pressure;

• Clear Understanding on gender inclusive programming, women’s political empowerment, inclusive governance;

• Capacity to identify and mitigate field level risks and Challenges;

• Ability and willingness to intensive travel across project areas;

• Ensuring quality project progress reports;

• Communication and collaboration with field volunteers, Govt. Officials, CSOs;

• Maintain liaison & coordination with District level BEC & govt. offices.

• Good computer knowledge (MS office, excel and power point presentation, preparing report both English and Bangla).

• Fluency in English and Bengali languages is essential.

• Excellent in organizing, analytical and report-writing skills in English & Bangla; capable of working under tight deadlines and managing multiple tasks.

• Any other tasks or duties assigned by the senior management of the WAVE Foundation.

Compensation & Other Benefits

• Monthly consolidated salary is BDT 45,000  -  47,250 with other admissible benefits as per the organization`s policy/project provision.

•  Salary and other admissible benefits (if any) are inclusive of all taxes as imposed by the government of Bangladesh. Taxes will be deducted at sources as per government rules.
