Job Context:
∎ Community Development Centre (CODEC) is an inheritor of DANIDA Bangladesh derived from couple of project intervention explicitly DANIDA Boat Building Project and Boat Rental Scheme. CODEC has been working as a people centered development organization since 1985.
∎ CODEC is implementing different Development projects in the field of Education, Livelihood support, Environment, Legal Service, Humanitarian Field, Advocacy, Health & Nutrition etc. The aim of CODEC is to provide support and assistance to the disadvantaged coastal communities in their day-to-day struggle.
∎ Community Development Centre (CODEC) is implementing The Blue Economy and Inclusive Development for Climate Justice (BID4CJ) project funded by OXFAM in Satkhira (Shyamnagar) and Cox`s Bazar (Chakaria & Moheshkhali). The BID4CJ aims to empower coastal communities to nurture healthy ecosystems and a climate-just economy in south-west and south-east Bangladesh through feminist climate movements, ecosystem restoration and ethical businesses development. CODEC invites application for the following positions from the potential Bangladeshi nationals.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Develop participatory and inclusive business models that include the interests of the community, the environment and of the enterprises themselves.
∎ Engage coastal communities and analyze businesses benefit from climate and gender-just economic development.
∎ Working with the government, private sector and local communities
∎ Developing environment friendly green solution to support small marginalized coomunities (especially women) and other climate vulnerable/nature dependent communities.
∎ Conduct and facilitate training on green business opportunities, enterprise development and livelihood opportunities.
∎ Assist project manager in the management of overall activities of "Blue Economy and Inclusiveness Development for Climate Justice (BID4CJ)" project.
∎ Assist in preparing progress reporting for projects using information from various sources.
∎ Keeping project manager informed and update relevant staffs and donor (Oxfam).
∎ Assist in financial and compliance management of the project.
∎ Assist in Preparing periodic, annual and other relevant reports.
∎ Promoting women and youth leadership for climate justice and natural resource rights.
∎ Assist in engaging community in ecosystem management, restoration and other relevant project activities.
∎ Ensuring safe and inclusive project management.
∎ Ensure the safety of team members (in respect to Prevention of sexual exploitation and abuse - PSEA) from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment, and exploitation to achieve the programme's goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance, and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 30 to 45 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ Experience managing community led livelihood generating activity and business development related projects. Having experience in green/ ethical business development and blue economy related activities will be an added advantage.
∎ Relevant experience of 5 years out of which at least 2 years should be in income generating and business development areas.
∎ Knowledge of gender, Feminist principle, Ecosystem and the livelihoods approaches.
∎ Strong Report writing skill both Bangla & English.
∎ Must have Computer knowledge (MS word, excel, PowerPoint, email, internet etc.)
∎ Strong in English and capable to write quality report in English is necessary.
∎ Strong ability in problem solving and decision-making.
∎ Skilled in documentation, facilitation, presentation & reporting.
∎ Willing to ride motorcycle in the field with valid driving license.
∎ Age - 30 - 45 Years. (age may be relaxed for experienced candidates)

Salary: Tk. 77000 (Monthly)
