Responsibilities & Context
Re4vive GmbH | Remote, preferably based in Bangladesh
Reports to: Founder & CEO
Engagement: Initial three-month paid trial, with the intention of long-term collaboration
About Re4vive
Re4vive is a Heidelberg-based circular economy company helping fashion, footwear, sportswear and retail businesses recover value from returned and minor-defective products through professional repair and refurbishment. Backed by Heidelberg University, we work with leading European retail and sports brands to return products to resale condition instead of writing them off. With EU regulation now making circularity mandatory under ESPR and EPR, we sit at the centre of one of the most significant shifts in European retail.
The role
We are looking for an experienced leader who can turn company goals into completed work.
We are building a remote team of four senior managers: Head of Business Operations, B2B Sales & Business Development Manager, B2B Marketing & Growth Manager, and Full-Stack Developer (AI & Automation). Each senior manager is supported by one or two Europe-based interns on 3 to 6 month placements.
As Head of Business Operations, you are the link between the founder and this team. You run our OKR system, coordinate sales, marketing and technology, and take responsibility for execution. Your first priority will be to understand Re4vive and its OKRs, then help the founder recruit and onboard the core team.
Your responsibilities
Run our quarterly OKRs: turn objectives and key results into plans, owners and deadlines
Lead the weekly rhythm: Monday OKR check-ins with the whole team and Friday progress updates
Allocate tasks and coordinate work across sales, marketing and technology
Track progress, follow up on commitments and hold team members accountable
Identify blockers, understand support needs and help the team solve problems
Anticipate risks involving deadlines, resources, budgets and team capacity
Report progress, risks and decisions needed directly to the founder
Help recruit, onboard and develop the senior managers and the rotating Europe-based interns
Prepare and follow up agreements with our operational partners (sewing, donation, upcycling and recycling)
Build shared documentation, working procedures and handovers for all activities and team members, so knowledge stays in the company and can be easily transferred
Use AI and automation where they improve productivity and visibility
Recommend improvements and challenge unrealistic priorities constructively
The founder sets the company’s strategic direction and keeps final approval of major hiring, spending and commercial decisions.
What we are looking for
Around 10 to 15 years of relevant professional experience, including leadership and responsibility for delivering results
Proven experience in business operations, project or programme management, or a comparable role
Experience leading remote teams across different functions and countries
Experience working with multinational colleagues and different cultures, ideally including Germany or Europe
Proven experience working remotely, with a reliable home office setup (stable internet, laptop, quiet workspace)
Confident running meetings and staying in touch through video calls, chat and shared documents
Hands-on experience with OKRs or similar goal-setting and performance tracking methods
Strong planning, prioritisation, communication and problem-solving skills
Ability to understand a business quickly and work independently with limited supervision
Confident with digital collaboration tools (we work in Google Workspace)
Comfortable using AI tools and learning new systems
Strong spoken and written English; German is a plus
At least 4 hours of daily overlap with German business hours (CET)
Experience in a startup, international business, retail, logistics or circular economy is an advantage.
What we offer
Direct collaboration with the founder and meaningful responsibility
The opportunity to build a team and shape how a growing German startup operates
Remote work and a long-term collaboration opportunity
An agreed monthly remuneration based on experience, availability and scope
How to apply
Send your CV, expected monthly remuneration and availability to [email protected].
Include a short example of how you led a team to achieve a business goal, handled obstacles and measured the result.
