• Minimum of 08 years for VP-EVP of progressive experience in Retail Business, with any reputed commercial bank focusing on Head of Retail Business.

• Senior-level banking professional with a proven track record in comprehensive Retail Business management having deep functional knowledge of Retail, Product Development, Strategic Partnerships, Retail Management.

• Strong analytical and quantitative capability with data interpretation skills.

• Sound knowledge of modern Retail Sales & practices strategic frameworks.

• Proficiency in MS Office and Business strategy

1. Strategic Leadership & Business Growth

• Develop and execute strategic business plans and policies for both Retail Asset and Liability segments to drive sustainable balance sheet growth, maximize profitability, and maintain cost effectiveness.

• Monitor economic, market, and commercial trends in Bangladesh to identify growth opportunities, expand market share, and lead product re-engineering and new product development (including digital value propositions).

• Formulate and execute branch/outlet network strategies to optimize market penetration and revenue generation across all zones and clusters.

2. Asset & Liability Portfolio Management

• Supervise Retail Liability operations, driving growth across CASA, Term Deposits, Payroll Banking, Student Banking, and digital deposit products.

• Oversee the Retail Asset business, ensuring compliant and timely submission, processing, approval, and disbursement of loan proposals from branches and business units.

• Drive Credit Card business growth, setting asset/liability targets for sales teams while maintaining a healthy credit card portfolio.

• Establish strategic tie-ups and partnerships with real estate developers, MNCs, large local conglomerates, and corporate bodies to boost asset-liability acquisition.

• Direct Payroll & Loyalty teams to acquire high-value corporate relationships, enhance low-cost fund acquisition (CASA), and manage debit/credit card benefits and merchant discount programs.

• Spearhead cross-selling initiatives across existing and prospective customer bases to drive fee-based and interest income.

3. Portfolio Quality, Collection & Campaigns

• Oversee Collection & Recovery teams to maintain a low non-performing loan (NPL) ratio and ensure overall portfolio health.

• Plan and execute periodical local, branch, and zonal marketing campaigns to accelerate sales of retail asset and liability products.

• Lead and manage bank-wide strategic pilot projects and innovative initiatives as assigned by Senior Management.

4. Risk, Governance & Regulatory Compliance

• Ensure all retail banking operations fully comply with Bangladesh Bank regulations, applicable financial laws, internal risk parameters, and governance standards.

• Establish, review, and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) across all retail banking operations.

• Collaborate closely with Credit Risk Management (CRM), Internal Control & Compliance (ICC), Credit Administration (CAD), and other control functions.

5. Performance Tracking & Management Reporting

• Monitor, analyze, and report daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly retail business performance against assigned targets.

• Conduct comparative gap analyses and business potential assessments across command area branches and regions.

• Present key performance metrics, market insights, and strategic recommendations to Top Management and the Senior Management Team (SMT) periodically.
