∎ At least 10 years of working experience in the textiles/apparel sector with high-level understanding on existing sustainability issues, Corporate Due Diligences and 4IR related development perspectives
∎ Experience on project management, partnership management, M&E including financial management;
∎ Knowledge and experience on thought leadership, supportive supervision, global trade related trends etc.
∎ First-hand experience on high-quality report writing, production of knowledge materials, and dissemination tools and techniques.
∎ Excellent leadership skill and organizational skills to keep employees motivated and management of operation;
∎ Fosters an inclusive workplace where diversity and individual differences are valued and leveraged to achieve the vision and mission of the organization.
∎ Good initiator, liaison skills, negotiation skills, administrative and management skills, organizational skills, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Execute annual planning and implementation, including tracking and reporting of project results;
∎ Facilitate capacity development initiatives for the processing facilities on improving due diligence and compliance with environmental sustainability;
∎ Implement capacity development initiatives for water and energy use efficiency, chemical management, environmental pollution control and improving workers wellbeing;
∎ Supervise team members to execute the planned interventions in an effective and efficient way ensuring timely execution of planned interventions;
∎ Lead the process of project budgeting and ensure efficient use of financial resources allocated for the projects within the committed timeframe;
∎ Coordinate the monitoring and evaluation functions of projects with the M&E team for tracking and reporting of the project outcomes.
∎ Gather intelligence of global sustainability perspective and support in developing business cases to incentivise sustainable practices, improve accountability and inclusiveness in the supply chain for fostering supportive business environment.
∎ Coordinate the process of developing tools and guidelines for water and energy use efficiency, chemical management, environmental pollution control and improving workers wellbeing;
∎ Support in developing sustainable framework for circular economy, waste management and reducing water and carbon footprint in the supply chain.
∎ Support in resources mobilisation for improving the portfolio of Solidaridad Textiles and Apparel Programmeming in Bangladesh.
∎ Develop and maintain functional relationships with relevant public-private stakeholders for promoting inclusive and sustainable trade;
∎ Engage in dialogue with the business association, workers’ associations, government, brands and trade bodies for improving supportive business ecosystem services in access to knowledge and information, technologies, and facilities for improved manufacturing processes towards improving workers' well-being and pollution management;
∎ Facilitate dialogue, knowledge sharing, and collaboration towards improving workers’ productivity, gender equality and sustainable development in the textile and apparel sector.
∎ Job Description
∎ The Programme Manager – Textiles & Apparel will steer the operation of Solidaridad textiles and apparel programming in Bangladesh towards the promotion and adoption of sustainable production practices. S/he will drive technical support and cooperation to the industry stakeholders for improving industrial practices on water and energy use efficiency, chemical management, environmental pollution control and improving workers' wellbeing.
∎ The Programme Manager – Textiles & Apparel will engage with relevant stakeholders to convene dialogue for improving productivity in compliance with the national and international social and environmental standards. The position will drive sustainable and resource-efficient business cases for circular economy for the industry for waste management and reducing water and carbon footprint in the supply chain.
∎ Under the overall supervision of the Country Manager and strategic support from national and regional technical expertise, the Programme Manager will accelerate the Apparel and Textiles portfolio of Solidaridad in Bangladesh.
∎ The position is based in Dhaka with occasional field visits to the project operation areas.
∎ Duties and Accountabilities
∎ Project Management and Operation:
