Educational Requirements:
∎ Postgraduate degree in agriculture, food science, governance, nutrition, development studies or related field and/or bachelor's degree or recognized international accreditation in project management.

Job Context:
∎ Contract Type: Fixed Term
∎ Duration: 36 Months

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Defining project scope, activities and objectives in line with the GAIN business plans, programme frameworks, and organizational strategic priorities
∎ Identifying, tracking and resolving project issues on an ongoing basis, and proactively seeking support where issues require wider attention and resolution
∎ Leading a project team consisting of people across the organisation
∎ Building and maintaining strong partnerships with government entities particularly different field level agencies of the Ministry of Agriculture, civil society, INGOs, private sector and other organizations
∎ Writing donors' reports in collaboration with project teams, technical teams, funding team and support teams
∎ Ensuring narrative reporting and financial accounting meet GAIN and donor's requirements
∎ Working with international finance to ensure that accurate budgets and forecasting are drawn up for all activities, and that activities costs are kept within budgets
∎ Leading on the procurement process by identifying, selecting and managing suppliers within ethical and procurement standards and guidelines
∎ Ensuring monthly project reporting (in line with GAINs Project Management Standards) to update management on program progress achieved, program plans, changes in direction and challenges encountered

Additional Requirements:
∎ The ideal candidate will have proven experience in project management in complex and diverse environments as well as working with local government bodies. You will have proven experience on climate-smart and nutrition-sensitive technologies, integrated farming approaches to collaborate with the farmers' groups and production clusters and integrated farming business models tailored to the specific needs of women and youth living in poverty and vulnerability.
∎ The postholder will also have experience in delivering projects on time / on budget, using project management processes and tools including risk management, benefits management, financial management and quality assurance and demonstrable understanding of the gender and protection dynamics of humanitarian and development work, and ability to capture this in the analysis and design of interventions.
∎ You will be a dynamic individual with strong ability to work with diverse groups/individuals and will be highly flexible and willing to travel in challenging environments. In addition to this, you will possess fluent written and spoken English.
∎ You will be IT literate with excellent MS Office skills and with excellent project management capabilities.

Salary:
∎ Salary: From BDT 2,394,972 - BDT 2,738,570 per annum (gross salary), depending on experience.
