Job Context:
∎ This Project Officer positions are for the GRANTS Project named Realizing Gender Equality, Attitudinal Change & Transformative Systems in Nutrition (REACTS-IN) Project located in Thakurgaon Area. This Position aims to provide capacity building training for government health staff to ensure effectiveness of government`s health services through committee formation. Also, will work closely with community people including women, adolescent and children.
∎ The Project Officer will work to reach to the objectives of the project, accomplish the planned activities as per DIP and ensure proper and effective budget utilization.
∎ This role will work directly with Project`s Manager and other project staff. The Project`s duration is up to 7 Years.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Implementation of project activities, including strengthening Union and Ward MCHN Committees, supporting Community MCHN Facilitators and Community MCHN Promoters to complete Maternal & child nutrition behavior change programming, supporting community MCHN management committees to manage and maintain MNP supply facilities.
∎ Implementation of project activities including gender equitable practices in nutrition, health, and SRHR, at individual, household, and community levels.
∎ Support to strengthened nutrition, health and SRHR services for the poorest and the most marginalized women, adolescent girls, and children.
∎ Support to develop effective stakeholder in local level through nutrition specific and SRHR activities, advocacy, and policy dialogue.
∎ Supervise Community Facilitators to deliver key activities in the ground and capacity building by provide training.
∎ Enhance capacity for Community Health Worker-CHW through effective training.
∎ Assist the government health department to render their health services for the community people efficiently.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 28 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ An understanding of project implementation.
∎ Extensive knowledge related to Maternal & Child Health & Nutrition including Gender mainstreaming.
∎ Oral and written communication skills in English and Bengali.
∎ Computer literacy, including the ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint .
∎ Ability to drive a motorbike .
∎ Valid motorbike license or willingness to attain one .
∎ Minimum of four year experience implementing MCHN projects.
∎ Experience supervising others.
∎ Experience training others.
Salary: Tk. 50000 - 55000 (Monthly)
