Job Responsibilities:
∎ This position is mainly responsible to ensure the smooth and quality implementation of the Education in Emergency (EiE) program, monitoring and supervising the field officers, facilitators’ activities on regular basis. Prepare all kinds of reports of activities. Also the position is responsible to lead, guide and supervise the facilitators, field officers. This position is also responsible to keep close connection with CIC, CEC, BMC, parents, PC, Save the Children, government official and other Actors. Technical Officer must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
∎ Provide technical input to develop the teachers training package; ensure implementation of the Training Curriculum. Develop Training Calendar, Training Schedule with design of training course, conduct teachers training, refreshers and Burmese facilitator’s training along with assessing Teachers Training through follow up. Ensure proper operation and overall management of the learning facilities under the assigned working area A7. Keep local level networks with the different stakeholders and education related organizations and agencies. Keep strong communication and liaison with Camp In-Charge (CIC), Army commander and site management, block Mazi and head Mazi for program and administrative purpose. Ensure proper operation and overall management of the CBLF’s under the assigned working area. Observing lessons and identifying opportunities to support teachers in using literacy, numeracy and PSS techniques they learned in previous trainings. Provide daily progress information to project coordinator. Preparing and archiving the monthly report in time. Keep good team works with other key contact personnel like M&E officer and finance and admin dept.
∎ Support in monitoring program activities. Class demonstration and ensure supportive supervision by doing hands on training. Ensure regular class visit, supervise and monitor the activity of facilitators, continuous support directly to the facilitators. Facilitate Teaching Learning Cycle (TLC) ‘learning meetings’ in each zone (at the teachers’ convenience) on a monthly basis.
∎ Identify training needs for the facilitators and field officers. Conduct all kinds of facilitators and field officers training for their capacity building. Support directly to the facilitators and demonstrates classroom session at Centre level. Arrange and conduct material development training for facilitators and Field officers.
∎ Willing to work in any natural disaster or emergency situation in Refugee Camp. Attend trainings, meetings and workshops to update knowledge and skill as assigned and disseminate new knowledge/information/lessons learnt. Coordinate with CIC office and collect necessary approval.
Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 04 years experiences in the education project particularly in Education in Emergency with Rohingya Response
∎ Ability to conversation with Rohingya language.
∎ Good communication skill on English and Bangla (writing and speaking).
∎ Excellent planning and analytical skills
∎ Excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to establish and maintain effective working atmosphere
∎ Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
∎ Deep understanding in technical knowledge on education program (especially in Rohingya context)
∎ Demonstrated coordination and relationship building skills with community.
∎ Ability to respect differences of culture, opinion and lived experiences while upholding children education and right
∎ Ensure internal coordination among the other program personnel, and establish linkage of the functional relationship, maintain them, and represent education in emergency as needed.
∎ Excellent computer literacy in MS word, Excel, Email communication, Web Browsing and Graphics
∎ Self-suf?cient, proactive, self-motivating and has willingness to handle challenges.
∎ Ability to prioritize and deal with competing demands to deliver results.
Salary:
∎ Monthly consolidated salary BDT 50,000 with other benefits as per project budget
