Academic Coordinator and Teacher
International American School (IAS) invites applications for a full-time role combining classroom teaching with academic coordination at our Uttara campus.

Education
Applicants must hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree
A minimum Second Class/Division or GPA/CGPA of at least 3.00 is required at all academic levels.
Applicants from Social Science disciplines are encouraged to apply. Teaching assignments will follow the IAS curriculum and the selected candidate's subject expertise.
Experience and additional requirements
Minimum 2 years of teaching and leadership experience in an English-medium school or educational institution; 2-5 years preferred. Relevant roles include Academic Coordinator, Head of Section or Head of Department.
Experience in schools, colleges, educational marketing or an EdTech organization will be valued.
A strong background in education, curriculum development or educational leadership will be valued. Candidates with an O Level and A Level background will receive preference.
Minimum age: 25 years.
Responsibilities
Plan and deliver lessons in the assigned subject, following the American curriculum used by IAS.
Coordinate lesson plans, class timetables, assessments and academic activities with teachers and school leadership.
Support teachers with classroom practice, curriculum implementation and teaching resources.
Monitor student progress, maintain academic records and arrange support for students who need additional help.
Communicate with parents and colleagues about student learning, attendance and academic concerns.
Support school outreach, admissions events and educational marketing as assigned.
Maintain a safe, inclusive learning environment and follow school policies for student welfare.
Skills and expertise
Strong English communication, educational leadership, school management, staff supervision, organization, administration, stakeholder communication, problem solving and crisis management. Confidence using digital teaching resources and academic records is desirable.
Workplace
Work on-site at the Uttara campus, with school-related visits and movement as required.
