5–8 years of relevant experience in garments accessories sourcing/procurement, preferably in a garments buying/manufacturing company.
Strong supplier sourcing and negotiation skills.Good knowledge of garments accessories and accessories market.
Strong communication and follow-up skills.Good command of MS Office/Excel.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.Strong analytical, problem-solving and coordination skills.
Responsibilities & Context
Source and develop reliable suppliers for garments accessories as per company requirements.
Handle sourcing of labels, tags, buttons, zippers, elastics, tapes, polybags, cartons and other garment accessories.
Collect and compare supplier quotations, negotiate price, payment terms and delivery schedules.
Coordinate with Merchandising, Production, Store, Quality and Commercial teams to ensure timely availability of accessories.
Follow up on purchase orders, samples, approvals, production and delivery status.
Evaluate supplier quality, capacity, price competitiveness and delivery performance.
Develop alternative suppliers to ensure cost efficiency and uninterrupted supply.
Maintain supplier database, sourcing records, comparative statements and purchase-related documents.
Ensure accessories are sourced according to buyer specifications and required quality standards.
Monitor market prices and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Handle supplier communication and resolve delivery, quality and commercial issues.
Prepare regular sourcing and supplier performance reports for management.
