Responsibilities & Context
Shanto CNG and Fuel Station is looking for a skilled engineer to manage the technical operation and maintenance of its CNG and fuel dispensing facility, keeping it safe, efficient and compliant.
Job Responsibilities
Operate, monitor and maintain CNG compressors (IMW and Aspro), dispensers, storage cascades and related equipment
Carry out routine inspections, preventive maintenance and troubleshooting of gas and fuel pump systems
Diagnose and repair compressor faults, including valves, pistons, seals, cooling, lubrication and electrical/control issues
Ensure compliance with safety rules, fire safety standards and government/regulatory requirements for CNG and fuel stations
Monitor gas pressure, leakage, dispenser calibration and metering accuracy
Supervise technicians and pump operators, and train them in safe operating procedures
Maintain maintenance logs, spare parts inventory and daily technical reports
Coordinate with suppliers and service vendors for repairs and spare parts
Respond promptly to breakdowns and emergencies to minimize downtime
Educational Requirements
Diploma or B.Sc. in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or relevant
Experience Requirements
Minimum [2–3] years of experience at a CNG station, gas station or fuel pump
The experience areas required: CNG/Fuel Station Operations, Gas Compressor Maintenance
Additional Requirements
Working knowledge of CNG compressors, especially IMW (Canada) and Aspro (Argentina) compressors
Good understanding of fuel dispensers, gas cascades, pressure systems and safety equipment
Knowledge of fire safety and hazard control procedures
Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical problems independently
Willingness to work in shifts and respond to emergencies
Good communication and team supervision skills
