Job Responsibilities:
∎ Plan, Supervise and Procure all Engineering items i.e. Mechanical, Electrical, Electro-mechanical, Hardware, Sanitary, Civil & Construction, Plant & Machinery, Tools, etc., Seasonal Raw Materials i.e. Rice, Chili, Turmeric, Maize, Spices, etc. and Printing & Packaging items i.e. Offset and flexible Packaging with its raw materials.
∎ Take the leading role to formulate procurement budget for various spares and materials in order to ensure the delivery as per the timeline.
∎ Supervise the job of subordinates in a manner so that they can deliver their own responsibility in a quality manner also within the deadline under the departmental framework.
∎ Ensure to follow up the purchase procedure as prescribed by MGI management from time to time.
∎ Ensure proper follow-up of the payment of party bills in consultation with the accounts department.
∎ Ensure to develop vendors for new products/new processes in a cost-effective manner given due consideration to the right quality parameter.
∎ Ensure to follow up and guide direct purchases from local markets like old Dhaka, and Nawabpur.
∎ Development & implementation of key procurement strategies.
∎ Supervise all steps of procurements like P2P cycle.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Applicants should have work experience in Local Sourcing/ purchase of Raw Materials, Packaging Materials, Electro-Mechanical Spares & consumables, Civil works materials, Contract Manufacturing, etc.
∎ Proven Negotiation Skills with the suppliers/vendors.
∎ Sound communication skills with both internal & external customers.
∎ Hands-on experience in ERP system
