Job Context:
∎ RDRS Bangladesh is a leading national development organisation in Bangladesh working for the poor and underprivileged communities across the country with focus on north-west Bangladesh. Established in 1972 as the field programme of Lutheran World Federation, Geneva, RDRS became a national development organisation in 1997 under the Trust Act. RDRS provides development services to over 3 million households in 32 districts through its four broad programmes - civil empowerment, quality of life, food security & environment, and economic empowerment & opportunity.
∎ Recently, RDRS Bangladesh is inviting applications from eligible and deserving candidates to fill up the position of "Field Coordinator" under LWF RDRS Emergency Project in Cox`s Bazar.
∎ Field Coordinator is responsible to assist Team Leader of LREP CXB in overall project implementation of LREP project in Cox`s Bazar including the areas of programming, monitoring, evaluation and execution of planned activities. S/He will assist Team Leader involving in resource mobilization, advocacy and networking coordination with different stakeholders as well as host visitors to camps and host communities e.g., local government, ISCG Clusters/Sectors, Donors, LWF, RDRS Dhaka Office and related agencies` delegates. The Field Coordinator is based in Cox`s Bazar, but is required to undertake periodic visits to sub-field offices, targeted refugee camps and host communities supporting to Forcibly Displaced Myanmar Nationals-FDMN (Rohingya) refugee camps and the host communities. S/he reports, submit all leave and other movement plans to the LREP CXB Team Leader.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Major responsibilities of this position are as follows:
∎ Ensure the smooth day to day project implementation and operations;
∎ Project planning, monitoring, evaluation and reporting (PMER);
∎ Assists Team Leader CXB to all aspects of the Cox's Bazar project programming in Education, Livelihood, DRR/Tree Sapling Plantation, Primary Health Care, Protection and other related interventions of the LREP project;
∎ Recommend LREP Team Leader to get approval an appropriate staffing structure to implement the planned activities in the project by RDRS Dhaka Office;
∎ Ensures that new staffs are provided with program orientation to the projects;
∎ Involve in staff recruitment for the LREP project and recommend fair, transparent and capable staff, ensuring that recruitment is gender-sensitive;
∎ Attends PMT meeting regularly and solve conflicts or to discipline staff in Cox's Bazar according to RDRS's policy;
∎ Works with the LREP Team Leader and Admin & Finance Officer or other staff closely to ensure smooth functioning of finance matters;
∎ Assists LREP Team Leader and actively engages in negotiations with Local Partners, UN, ISCG Clusters and I/NGOs and other agencies at the project level;
∎ Assists LREP Team Leader to ensure that all procurement in undertaken in accordance with RDRS, donors and Government of Bangladesh guidelines;
∎ Assists Team Leader to ensure safety/security protocols are adhered to by all staff;
∎ Ensures any project property is used for the benefit of organization and the people served by the project;
∎ Assists Team Leader and RDRS Govt. Relations Officer or designated staff providing necessary information to get project approval from NGO AB;
∎ Assists Team Leader to represent RDRS and LWF (wherever needed) in coordination meeting (ACT Forum, ISCG Clusters, NGO, other humanitarian agencies) and provide public relations information and visibility as called upon;
∎ Fulfills any other professional duties as may be assigned or delegated by the Team Leader.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum 4 years work experience in management and operations for livelihoods development project, where at least 2 years proven experience in humanitarian crisis responses specially in Rohingya responses. Besides, proven experiences in working with line department, civil societies and private sectors. Highly developed relationship building, influencing, negotiating and inter-personal skills. Ability to analyses strategic trends and develop appropriate plans and responses to manage crisis or risks. Ability to work both in an advisory and a hands-on implementation capacity and to supervise, train, mentor and coach staffs;
∎ Should be able to work with many other implementing agencies for the same cause;
∎ Willingness to live and travel in Cox's Bazar and rural project areas;
∎ Cultural sensitivity, team spirit and a can-do attitude of service;
∎ Demonstrated leadership and program development abilities and strategic thinking;
∎ Able to multi-task, problem solve and deal with complex relationships and situations;
∎ Knowledge in rights-based community development, Education, Income Generation/ Livelihood, Market Linkage, WASH, Protection, DRR/Tree plantation and other related areas, or willingness to learn;
∎ Fluent spoken and written in Bangla and English languages skills and computer literacy;
∎ Must have willingness to ride Motor Cycle;
∎ Embraces the vision, mission, and values of the RDRS Bangladesh and is committed to work towards meeting their goals and objectives.
Salary: Tk. 70000 (Monthly)
