Responsibilities & Context
Lead and manage the overall 100+ Sample Man’s Sample Development / Sample Room operations.
Manage the complete sample development process from Tech Pack/Design to final approved sample.
Handle Woven, Denim and Non-Denim sample development.
Handle 50+ multiple buyer programs and urgent sample requirements efficiently.
Ensure samples meet buyer specifications, measurements, construction, fitting and quality requirements.
Review Tech Pack, sketches, BOM, construction details and measurement specifications.
Coordinate with Merchandising, Design, Pattern, CAD, Cutting, Sewing, Washing, Quality and Production teams.
· Ensure timely submission of all samples according to buyer deadlines and T&A.
Monitor sample status, buyer comments, revisions and resubmissions.
Supervise Proto, Fit, Development, Size Set, PP and other required samples.
Identify technical issues and provide effective solutions during sample development.
Ensure proper fitting, workmanship, construction and finishing of samples.
Monitor sample quality and minimize rejection, rework and development time.
Prepare and maintain sample development plans, trackers and reports.
Allocate work effectively and monitor team performance and productivity.
Train, guide and motivate Sample Section team members.
Ensure optimum utilization of manpower, machines, materials and other resources.
Support product development, process improvement and cost/time optimization initiatives.
Ensure compliance with company policies, buyer requirements and quality standards.
