Job Responsibilities of Store In-charge

• Manage and supervise the overall Store, Warehouse and Inventory operations of the Steel & Re-Rolling Mill.
• Receive, verify, store, and issue Steel Billet, Scrap, MS Rod, Finished Rod, Steel Materials, Spare Parts, and Consumables according to approved documents.
• Maintain proper stock records of Billet, Scrap, Finished Rod, and all production-related materials.
• Verify incoming Billet and other raw materials against Purchase Order, supplier challan, weighbridge data, invoice, and delivery documents.
• Coordinate with Purchase, Production, Accounts, and Quality Control departments regarding receipt and acceptance of raw materials.
• Maintain accurate records of Billet receiving, weight, heat/lot number, grade, size, supplier, and consumption.
• Monitor and record Billet issue/consumption against daily production requirements.
• Maintain proper records of sorting, storage, transfer, and consumption.
• Prepare and maintain GRR, GRN/MRN, Material Requisition, Material Issue Note, Transfer Note, Delivery Challan, Gate Pass and other store documents.
• Maintain Bin Cards, Stock Registers, Store Ledgers and computerized/ERP inventory records.
• Conduct daily/monthly physical stock verification of Billet, Scrap, Rod, Spare Parts and other materials.
• Reconcile physical stock with book/ERP balances and immediately report shortages, excesses, damages, or discrepancies.
• Monitor Billet-to-Rod production consumption, material yield and stock movement in coordination with Production and Accounts.
• Maintain proper inventory of Mechanical Spare Parts, Electrical Spare Parts, Bearings, Rollers, Lubricants, Oils, Welding Materials, Gas, Tools, PPE and other Consumables.
• Ensure proper identification, coding, tagging, and systematic arrangement of all store materials.
• Maintain separate records for usable, damaged, rejected, obsolete, and scrap materials.
• Assist in stacking and storing Billet, Scrap, Finished Rod and other materials in designated areas.
• Assist in loading and unloading finished Rod and other materials for dispatch.
• Assist in maintaining proper identification, tagging and segregation of different grades, sizes, and types of materials.
• Assist in issuing materials to Production, Maintenance and other departments against authorized Material Requisition/Issue Notes.
• Assist in maintaining proper records of material movement and stock transactions.
• Assist in maintaining Billet, Scrap, Rod, Spare Parts, and Consumables stock records under the supervision of the Store In-Charge.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly Stock, Billet, Scrap, Rod, Consumption and Material Movement Reports for management.
• Inventory and Material Management duties assigned by management.
