Job Responsibilities IT Officer

• Manage and maintain the overall IT infrastructure of the Steel & Re-Rolling Mill, corporate office and factory premises.
• Provide day-to-day technical support for desktop computers, laptops, printers, scanners, UPS, networking devices, and other IT equipment.
• Install, configure and maintain Windows operating systems, business applications, drivers and required software.
• Manage and maintain LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, routers, switches, firewalls, VPN and internet connectivity.
• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity, IP, DNS, DHCP, and other network-related issues.
• Maintain user accounts, access permissions, passwords, and system privileges according to company policy.
• Manage and maintain CCTV surveillance systems, NVR/DVR, IP cameras, and monitoring systems.
• Maintain biometric attendance, access control, RFID/card access, and employee attendance systems.
• Manage and maintain servers, shared folders & printing, file storage, printers, and other network resources.
• Perform regular data backup, restoration, and backup verification to prevent data loss.
• Monitor system security, antivirus/endpoint protection, firewall, and unauthorized access.
• Implement basic IT security practices including password policies, access control, software updates, and security monitoring.
• Troubleshoot hardware problems involving PCs, RAM, SSD/HDD, power supply, monitors, printers, and other peripherals.
• Maintain proper records of IT assets, computers, networking equipment, software licenses and other IT resources.
• Coordinate with internet service providers, software vendors, CCTV vendors, and other third-party IT service providers PABX etc.
• Monitor internet bandwidth and manage user access where required.
• Assist in implementing and maintaining IT policies, procedures, backup plans and disaster recovery arrangements.
• Maintain documentation of network diagrams, IP addresses, system configurations, user accounts and IT assets.
• Perform any other IT, systems, network and technology-related duties assigned by management.
