∎ Location of posting: Dhaka, Chittagong, Bagerhat and Nilphamari (Placement will be on partner level and Dhaka Office)
∎ Types of contract: Contractual
∎ Duration of Contract: Up to December 2021
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Work with local partners and Activista etc.
∎
∎ Work with the partner organization and Activista members to assess the capacity develop needs on youth and gender responsive public service.
∎ Provide support to volunteers in advocacy and communication with local level government agencies
∎ Facilitate to organize campaign and events with youths at local and national level
∎ Identify and address challenges while practicing guidelines, advocacy and campaigns
∎ Share learnings and experience with partners and project staffs
∎ Facilitate the partners and the Activistas/ Youth Volunteers to practice the change stories guideline and reporting template.
∎ Identify and address challenges while practicing guidelines.
∎ Work with the youth platforms and networking
∎
∎ Work with partner staff and key youth volunteers to develop the networking mapping tools
∎ Support the partner staff and key youth volunteers to identify the relevant to networks at local level
∎ Work with them to develop the contextualized networking guideline.
∎ Work with Global Platform Bangladesh and A4I project
∎
∎ Jointly develop knowledge development guidelines with GPB and AAB staff
∎ Jointly with GPB develop and customize training guidelines/modalities.
∎ Contextualizing the guidelines based on the local level experience
∎ Individual competence development
∎
∎ Hands on engagement with the project and partner level activities.
∎ Engage in developing module, guidelines and knowledge product.
∎ Engaging with the various ICT based tools to generate knowledge and share across the level.
∎ Engage in the sharing session with the Astivista and Youth Volunteers.
∎ Engage in learning networks with other Inspirators and Advisors in Bangladesh and abroad (online).
∎ Take online courses as relevant, e.g. provided by AA through the Learning Site
Additional Requirements:
∎ Preferable - Knowledge on democratic culture, social cohesion, pluralism
∎ Minimum 1 year of professional experience preferably around youth work, particularly in the areas of volunteer management, knowledge management and communication.
∎ Good command in Bangla and English
∎ Experience working with youth and gender issues in the context of public services
∎ Communication and ICT knowledge
∎ Advocacy
∎ Capacity development support
∎ Knowledge on social accountability
∎ Information about progressive taxation issue
∎ Innovative knowledge management processes
∎ Able to motivate others
∎ Able to identify the capacity gap in partner volunteers and
∎ Able to facilitate in developing the skills to mitigate the gaps
Salary:
∎ BDT. 44226 whereas Per Diems Monthly: BDT. 19201 and Accommodation: BDT. 25025.
Compensation & Other Benefits:
∎ Moreover, Group Life Insurance and Medical Allowance will be covered.
