Responsibilities & Context
CloudTech Bookkeeping provides bookkeeping, accounting and business formation services to clients in the US, UK, Canada and Australia. We help international entrepreneurs set up US LLCs, keep their books clean and prepare their financial reports.
About the Role
We’re looking for a junior accountant with solid accounting fundamentals and good English who wants to build a career in international bookkeeping. You don’t need to know QuickBooks, Xero or any US/UK accounting software. We’ll train you fully on the software and processes. What we need from you is a strong accounting foundation, attention to detail and a willingness to learn.
Key Responsibilities
Record day-to-day transactions and categorise bank and credit card activity for international clients
Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations
Prepare month-end closings, trial balances, P&L statements and balance sheets
Maintain accurate client records and supporting documents
Communicate with clients by email to clarify transactions and missing information
Prepare financial reports that clients use for their tax filing
Work with the team to meet monthly deadlines
Education
BBA, MBA, BCom or MCom with an Accounting major
CA or ICMAB students, partly qualified or completed, are preferred
Requirements
Strong understanding of double-entry accounting, journal entries, accruals and bank reconciliation
Good written English for client emails and reports; spoken English is a plus
Comfortable with MS Excel or Google Sheets (basic formulas, VLOOKUP, sorting/filtering)
Detail-oriented, patient and comfortable with repetitive, accuracy-focused work
Must be tech-savvy: comfortable with computers, cloud apps, online portals and learning new software quickly
Practical use of AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini for daily work
Comfortable with Google Workspace (Drive, Docs, Sheets) and file sharing/organising online
Fast and accurate typing in English
Looking for a long-term career, not a short-term job
Use AI and automation tools to speed up categorisation, reconciliation and reporting
Preferred (not required)
Experience as an accounts assistant or junior accountant, or in an audit/CA firm
Any exposure to cloud accounting software
Interest in automation tools (Zapier, n8n, Make) or Excel/Sheets automation
What We Offer
Full training in international bookkeeping and cloud accounting software
Experience working with US, UK, Canadian and Australian clients
A clear growth path: Junior Accountant → Accountant → Senior Accountant → Team Lead
Performance-based incentives
Office hours 10:00 am – 7:00 pm, [Saturday & Sunday]
Selection Process
Shortlisted candidates will sit a 45-minute practical test (accounting basics, Excel and English email writing), followed by an interview.
