Responsibilities & Context
Key Responsibilities
• Supervise and ensure smooth execution of day-to-day accounting and financial activities.
• Review journal entries, ledger postings, bank reconciliation, accounts payable and receivable.
• Prepare monthly financial reports, schedules and management reports within the required timeline.
• Monitor daily bank transactions, fund movements and cash position and coordinate with relevant departments.
• Process and monitor LC, EDF, bank facilities and fund transfer documentation.
• Ensure timely preparation and submission of VAT, Tax and other statutory returns.
• Maintain proper documentation and records for tax, VAT, audit and regulatory requirements.
• Assist in product costing, expense analysis and variance analysis and highlight significant deviations.
• Assist in preparing budgets, forecasts and periodic financial analysis.
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors and provide necessary schedules, documents and explanations.
• Ensure proper implementation of internal controls, accounting policies and financial procedures.
• Identify accounting discrepancies and support timely reconciliation and resolution.
• Prepare financial data and analysis required by management for business decision-making.
• Supervise and guide the Accounts team to ensure accuracy, efficiency and timely completion of assigned tasks.
