Educational Requirements:

Job Context:
∎ Anando (Promotion of Culture and Youth Resource Development) is a non-government, non-political and non-profitable national organization, established in 1997 and its mission is to strive for culture of development and peace through integrated development approach, which enables individuals and communities to become self-reliant. Anando is inviting application for the following position
∎ Objectives of the position: The Program Expert will be mainly responsible for the development and monitoring of programmes with components related to sustainable agriculture, natural resource management, livelihood & food security, climate change, skill development and market participation for youth and smallholder farmers.
∎ The Program Expert will be based at Dhaka and will report to Executive Director. S/he will work closely with program team and frequently travel to project areas for project monitoring and programme development.
∎ Immediate supervisor: Executive Director
∎ Contract period: Permanent Position at Anando Head Office, Dhaka
∎ Proposed start date: 1st July 2023
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Coordinate projects and provide backstopping, advisory support and assistance to project implementing team with the objective of achieving clearly defined and measurable outputs.
∎ Develop quality project proposal and concept note
∎ Undertake field level monitoring visits on a regular basis and develop well documented analytical monitoring reports of those visits;
∎ Prepare periodical progress reports to reflect achievement of project targets, document lessons learnt and record project activities.
∎ Prepare consolidated reports on Anando programmes for submission to Executive Director and donor agencies;
∎ Facilitate adequate liaison and linkages with relevant networks, government departments and relevant agencies to support programme implementation and advocacy initiatives;
∎ Ensure identification of training needs at all levels and organize capacity building of project staff and community on programme components.
∎ Facilitate support in developing quality publications as IEC materials, reports, workshop documents and brochures.
∎ Draw up terms of reference for consultancy and negotiate contractual agreements.
∎ Contribute to relevant Anando organisational and country policy discussions;
∎ Contribute to and support in developing project proposals and their submission to donors. A good understanding of designing and managing budgets is essential.
∎ Moderate and facilitate workshops and seminars and ensure proper documentation and dissemination of lessons learnt;
∎ Represent Anando at different platforms, meetings, seminars and consultations.
∎ Fund raising for projects, program and organizational development
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at most 45 years
∎ At least 8 years working experience on project management and among them at least 5 years of experience in the similar and senior management position.
∎ Experience in the sector of Agriculture, Livelihood, DRR and Climate change management and lively-hood
∎ Proven experience on quality report writing skills in English
∎ Exceptional written and verbal communications skills in English and Bengali
∎ Expertise on project concept development, project proposal development and report writing
∎ Strong understanding of food and nutrition Security, Natural Resources Management and livelihood issues
∎ Skills and experience in micro and macro advocacy initiatives, networking skills and capacity building;
∎ Ability to think strategically and develop creative approaches and solutions to complex problems;
∎ Previous experience of managing donor supported projects and rights and entitlements based projects will be an advantage
∎ Excellent computer skills in packages including Microsoft Word and Excel
∎ Ability to work independently and within a team;
∎ Highly motivated and willingness to travel across the country, participate in meetings even during weekends as and when necessary.
∎ Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a multi-cultural environment.
∎ Interested and willing to work in tide schedule
∎ Minimum 8 years of work experience in the development sector on results based project management at mid and senior management level.
Salary:
∎ Gross salary: Negotiable (Those who are getting present salary less than Taka 100,000.-Per Month, they are discourage to apply)
