∎ Project Background/Profile:
∎ Strengthening Risk Communication and Community Engagement and Vaccine Communication for COVID- 19 Prevention is a short-term, primarily 6-month, project that will implemented by a consortia, consisting of five partners, led by The Hunger Project. The aim of this project is to meaningfully engage the communities in high-risk/hotspot locations to get themselves vaccinated, wear masks properly, and practice the key recommended behaviors.

∎ The specific objective of the project are:
∎
∎ To improve the knowledge and practice by individuals and communities for the prevention of COVID-19 and uptake of COVID 19 vaccination.
∎ To increase the engagement of communities and relevant stakeholders to facilitate practice of COVID 19 preventative behaviors, care seeking and vaccine uptake
∎ To increase the number of people accessing mechanisms to voice their needs/concerns, including feedback and complaint mechanisms
∎ Under the coordination of the consortium lead The Hunger Project, the community engagement activities will be implemented by the consortia on the high-risk/hotspot approach, which means prioritizing the most affected geographical locations in 22 priority Districts. The community engagement interventions will use multimedia and multichannel approach, which will engage and empower communities to get themselves vaccinated, wear mask properly, and practice the key recommended behaviors. The project will develop messages, materials and tools in a participatory manner in consultation with the communities and disseminate them in targeted communities.
∎ Position Profile:
∎ This is a managerial position responsible for overall project implementation includes consortia management, program implementation, staff management, finance and admin. Under the guidance of the Consortia, the Project Director will be responsible for overall planning, coordinating, communication with different stakeholders, and implementing the activities according to the project proposal.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ The Project Director will be responsible for overall planning, coordinating and implementing the project activities and partners management according to project proposal, agreement with donor and within budget allocation of the project.
∎ Strictly look after the financial management of the project.
∎ Lead, supervise and monitor the project staffs/team.
∎ Manage the day-to-day operations of project by facilitating professional work process to ensure alignment with the established policies & procedures and in order to high performance standards.
∎ Develop and an implementation plan for project teams and provide clear direction and ensure that staff knows what is expected to them.
∎ Ensure the projects procedures, the required deliverables, the required standard of quality within the specified constraints of time and cost.
∎ Maintain close relationship with local political leaders, member of the civil society, local elites and others stakeholders of the project to ensure their support to achieve the project goal.
∎ Liaison with donor as and when requires, represents the organization and prepare monthly, quarterly reports and/or as per requirement of donor's reports of the project.
∎ Coordinate and guide the partner organization in implementing the project activities properly and timely.
∎ Develop clear guidelines, tools, capacity building modules to support project implementation.
∎ Any other work required by Project management.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Excellent command over in English both verbal and written is necessary.
∎ A least 15 years experiences in the related field including 5-7 years in senior management position with responsibility of project proposal development and report writing, resource mobilization, staff supervision and providing strategic leadership.
∎ Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Bangla.
∎ Experiences of running big social projects independently.
∎ Good connection with political parties, local political leaders, members of the civil society and social activists.
∎ Clear knowledge on project management, project cycle and result based management.
∎ Excellent team player and building relationship.
∎ Exceptional transformative leadership skills for building leadership of others.
∎ Excellent skills in Microsoft ward, Excels, Power points and presentation.
