Job Context:
∎ Job Nature: Contractual, Up to project duration
∎ Project Duration: Till December 2022
∎ A well-reputed non-government organization is implementing the WaSH Project. The organization is seeking application from the appropriate and qualified candidate who has the nationality of Bangladesh and has the willingness to work with Water, Sanitation and Hygiene related project at municipality level in Khulna.
∎ Job Location: Paikgacha Municipality
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Responsibility (Specific duties include but are not limited to)
∎ Coordinate effective project planning including the budget of the respective project area.
∎ Effective and efficient management of project resources and assets.
∎ Project Implementation, Monitoring, problem-solving and decision making.
∎ Coordination with local government and Capacity building of the CBOs, LGIs and other stakeholders.
∎ Management of Project office, staff development, documentation and reporting.
∎ Have knowledge of project planning and management in line with output and outcomes and effective implementation of project activities.
∎ Have knowledge multiyear budget preparation considering planning & implementation phase, cost-effective operation of project activities following set guidelines
∎ Prepare project progress reports with relevant stakeholders as per the project and donor needs
∎ Ensure individual and team performance through coaching, mentoring and regular meetings in line of quality assurance
∎ Ensure well-arranged donor visit / maintaining coordination with donor by showing the impact
∎ Have good supervising skills to manage the project staffs and have the intention to ensure optimum use of project resources and make resources available for the smooth operation of the project.
∎ Have good leadership capacity to ensure timely and quality implementation in accordance with the organization's policies, principles and strategies.
∎ Have experience on sectoral advocacy and networking to lead rigorous advocacy initiatives under the project priorities
∎ Maintain liaison with Municipal/City Corporation and other stakeholders in field-level implementation.
∎ Any other tasks relating to the project as may be advised by project authority.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum 05 year(s) professional background in project management.
∎ 05 years progressively professional background in project management especially in Water, Sanitation and Hygiene related project activities
∎ Have good leadership capacity to ensure timely and quality implementation
∎ Have efficiency and knowledge on-field problems and necessary action to resolve them.
∎ Have experience on liaison with multi-dimensional stakeholders.
∎ Excellent computer operation skills including Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, email and internet browsing
∎ Good interpersonal skills have demonstrated proactive roles in teamwork, excellent report writing skill and speaking skill on English to deal with foreign donors.
∎ Able to cope with stress and work under difficult circumstances
∎ Have to be gender-sensitive with sound knowledge and experience on gender issues
Salary:
∎ Monthly salary BDT 42,000 (gross) with two festival bonus and annual salary increment as per policy.
