∎ Master’s degree with five years working experience in social works/project operation.
∎ Education qualification is flexible for more experienced person in development field in project management.

∎ Age at most 50 years
∎ Both male and female candidates may apply and female candidate is preferable.
∎ Experience in providing Training and workshop on; Experience to work in the relevant field is an added advantage.
∎ Experience participating in training (material development, training facilitation) and on the job capacity building of staff and community volunteers.
∎ Have the capacity to maintain close relationships with local stakeholders and beneficiaries.
∎ Language: Good oral and written language skills in Bengali and English
∎ Computer skills (MS Office package-Both in English and Bangla)
∎ Experience in working in remote community settings.
∎ Candidate must have a valid motorcycle driving license
∎ Incorporate Safeguarding in each activities and establish CFRM at Upazila and Project level
∎ Experience in working with INGO/NGO.
Responsibilities & Context:
∎ The Overall project management and implementation of planned activities in respective Upazila,
∎ Controlling budget and staff management, supportive supervision,
∎ With excellent communication, negotiation, and dispute resolution skills.
∎ Advocacy with government sectors and community stakeholders to gain support for the project and sustainability of the works,
∎ Working skill with adolescents and youth empowerment,
∎ Knowledge and skill on different sports activities,
∎ Linkage with different government authorities and different sports associations in the area, create favorable environment for sports activities for the youths,
∎ Narrative report writing for the project,
∎ Working with internally displaced population (IDP) and youth effect of climate vulnerability.
∎ Gender sensitivity and gender diversity for target population. This position is responsible for one Upazila.

The organization has sound trustful relationships with local administration as well as technically supporting national & international organizations and local civil society. SOLIDARITY is working at Kurigram since 32 years with well-known popularity in working areas in the Rangpur division and nationally to other development agencies in both the Go & NGO sector. SOLIDARITY is always committed to poor & underprivileged people and the state for it’s real development. Climate-induced hazards and displacement have an impact on the mental and psychosocial well-being of young people.

∎ By 2050, climate change will cause one in every seven people in Bangladesh suffer displacement. About 4.1 million people were displaced as a result of climate disasters by 2019 (2.5% of the population), additional 13.3 million people could be displaced by climate change by 2050. To support these internally displaced populations, especially young people, the ORF funded supported by Terre Des Hommes-Foundation (Tdh) to launch this project named “Sport for Protection, Resilience, and Transformation” (SPiRIT) in early 2022. SOLIDARITY has been implementing the SPiRiT project in Kurigram District supported by TDH.

∎ SOLIDARITY has been inviting applications from suitable candidates for the Project Officer positions for its ‘’Sports for Protection Resilience and Transformation’’ (SPIRIT) project Supported by ‘’Terre Des Hommes-Foundation’’ for maximum 15 months (with high possibility to extension) project period since April 2024 to work at Kurigram Sadar, Ulipur and Chilmari sub-districts under Kurigram district.
