Responsibilities & Context
Fluent in English, with English as a working language; possess Chinese listening and speaking skills; able to communicate in both English and Chinese for daily communication and technical exchange; higher Chinese proficiency is preferred.
Bachelor’s degree or above in Civil Engineering, Steel Structure, or a related field; 3+ years of experience in steel structure construction for industrial plants; experience in textile factory, precast square pile, or steel frame plant projects is preferred.
Able to independently review steel structure plant drawings, coordinate detailing, prepare construction plans/method statements, and produce CAD drawings; familiar with key processes including hoisting, welding, concrete works, anti-corrosion and fireproof coating, surveying and setting-out, and quality inspection and acceptance; able to solve on-site technical issues.
Experience in project construction site management; able to coordinate with subcontractors, supervision consultants, designers, and relevant parties of the industrial park; responsible for safety construction, schedule, quality, and documentation management; able to adapt to site-based work at the BSEZ Economic Zone in Bangladesh.
Holding a Registered Structural Engineer certificate or other relevant professional qualifications, and familiar with Bangladesh BNBC 2020 construction codes; strong sense of responsibility and good communication and coordination skills; experience in BEZA/BSEZ or Japanese industrial park project construction is preferred.
