University and Career Counselor

• Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Counseling , Education or Career Guidance;

• Relevant university and career counseling experience, preferably in an international school;

• Strong knowledge of international university admission, scholarship of international university admissions, scholarships, applications and career pathways;

• Familiarity with platforms such as common App, UCAS, BridgeU/Concourse of similar systems;

• Strong communication, organizational and student-support skills;

• Age At least 28 years

• Knowledge of major university destinations including the UK, USA, Canada and Australia;

• Experience with personal statements, recommendation letters, transcripts and application documentation;

• Ability to organise university fairs, workshops and university representative sessions;

Career Counseling: Provide individual and group career guidance to IB DP students, helping them explore career options, understand industry trends, and connect their strengths and interests with potential future pathways.

University Guidance: Assist students with the university application process, including selecting suitable universities, writing application essays, preparing for interviews, and meeting deadlines for national and international admissions.

Workshops and Seminars: Organise workshops, career fairs, and information sessions for students and parents on topics such as university applications, scholarship opportunities, and career exploration.

Collaboration with Faculty and Parents: Work closely with subject teachers and the IB DP Coordinator to ensure students’ academic progress aligns with their career goals. Provide regular updates to parents on student development and application progress.

Assessment and Support: Assist students in identifying their strengths, learning styles, and potential career paths. Provide support for students in decision-making processes related to their future academic and career goals.

Networking and Partnerships: Build relationships with universities, organizations, and professionals to provide students with up-to-date career resources and opportunities, including internships and mentorship.

Social-Emotional Support: Provide counseling and support for students’ well-being, helping them manage the stress of university applications, exams, and the transition from high school to higher education.
