Job Context:
∎ Location: Ukhiya Team Office under Cox`s Bazar Field Office.
∎ Duration: Duration of the Contract will be up to July 31, 2021 with possibility of extension
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Responsibility # 1: Implement PSS and recreational activities in the WGSS:
∎ Assist the Response Officer with the day-to-day operations of the WGSS.
∎ Facilitate or lead educational, psychosocial and recreational activities for women and girls in the WGSSs.
∎ Ensure that WGSS activities are conducted in agreement with the WGSS rules, guidelines and are culturally appropriate.
∎ Provide WGSS attendees with information regarding the available services at the WGSS.
∎ Track and report on attendance of the different WGSS activities.
∎ Track and report on supply utilization at the WGSS.
∎ Ensure that the WGSS is kept in a clean and orderly manner, noting any damage or need for replacement items.
∎ Persons with skills in sewing, knitting, embroidery, drawing, and craft-making are encouraged to apply.
∎ Persons with a background in teaching, literacy classes, religious studies, and women's health are encouraged to apply
∎ Perform all other duties, as needed or requested by the supervisor.
Additional Requirements:
∎ 1-2 years' experience with a minimum of one year's work experience of GBV in emergencies, protection, and gender programing.
∎ Experience & technical skills:
∎ Excellent communication and group facilitation skills.
∎ Knowledgeable in GBV and women's rights.
∎ Practical experience working with refugees, IDPs, women and girls, and implementing programs in vulnerable communities.
∎ Understands the challenges and obstacles women and girls face regarding cultural practices, norms, and society pressures.
∎ Understands sensitivities of conducting outreach and awareness on violence related issues.
∎ Ability to communicate sensitively and without judgment.
∎ Positive and professional attitude, including ability to work well in team setting.
∎ Emotional maturity and stability to deal with conflict and confrontation in non-violent way and maintain appropriate boundaries.
∎ Displays cultural, gender, religion, race, ethnicity, and age sensitivity and adaptability.
∎ Good communication and facilitation skills to work on sensitive topics.
∎ REQUIRED: Fluent communication skills in both verbal and written Bangla, Rohingya/Chitagonian. English advantage.
Salary:
∎ Candidates are expected to join at the minimum of the scale. Scale range for the position is BDT 42,000 with other admissible benefits.
