• Minimum 7 years of genuine managerial experience in the textile manufacturing industry.
• Practical experience must include mechanical maintenance, installation, erection and commissioning of textile processing and finishing machinery.
• Candidates must have demonstrable experience working with machinery used in both Denim and Non-Denim fabric manufacturing, particularly processing and finishing operations.
• Strong practical knowledge of mechanical systems, equipment troubleshooting, maintenance planning and mechanical spare parts management is essential.
• Strong hands-on mechanical engineering and troubleshooting capabilities.
• Proven leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent knowledge of preventive and breakdown maintenance systems.
• Practical understanding of machinery installation, alignment, erection and commissioning.
• Effective planning, analytical, problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Good communication, coordination and reporting skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and respond effectively to critical equipment breakdowns.

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly competent, hands-on and results-oriented Assistant General Manager – Mechanical to lead mechanical maintenance, machinery installation, erection, commissioning and engineering support for our textile manufacturing operations, covering Denim fabric Dyeing, processing and finishing. The ideal candidate must possess a Mechanical Engineering degree and at least 7 years of managerial experience with proven practical expertise in textile Dyeing , processing and finishing (Both Denin and Non-Denim) machinery, mechanical systems, and spare parts management.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise mechanical maintenance activities to ensure maximum machinery availability, operational efficiency and minimum production downtime.

• Plan and execute the installation, erection, alignment, testing and commissioning of textile processing and finishing machinery.

• Ensure effective preventive, predictive and breakdown maintenance of mechanical equipment and associated utility systems.

• Provide hands-on technical support for machinery used in fabric Dyeing, processing and finishing operations.

• Manage mechanical engineering projects, equipment modification, machinery overhauling and performance improvement initiatives.

• Develop and implement maintenance schedules, standard operating procedures and equipment inspection systems.

• Ensure the availability, proper identification, procurement planning and inventory control of critical mechanical spare parts.

• Diagnose recurring mechanical failures and implement root-cause analysis and corrective actions.

• Monitor maintenance costs, spare parts consumption, equipment performance and departmental budgets.

• Coordinate with Production, Electrical, Utility, Procurement and other relevant departments to ensure uninterrupted factory operations.

• Lead, train and develop the mechanical maintenance team, ensuring effective manpower planning, discipline and technical competency.

• Ensure compliance with workplace safety standards, equipment safety procedures and applicable environmental requirements.

• Prepare and submit periodic reports on maintenance performance, machinery downtime, project progress and departmental activities to management.
