Responsibilities & Context
1. Four-year Bachelor's (Honours) degree and Master's degree in English from recognised universities. A PhD degree in English or a relevant discipline will be considered an added advantage.
2. Minimum 4 years of teaching experience at the university level, preferably as a Lecturer.
3. At least 3 research publications in recognised peer-reviewed journals, preferably including Scopus-indexed journals.
4. A strong academic background with consistently satisfactory academic results at the undergraduate (Honours) and postgraduate levels.
5. Strong command of English language, including speaking, writing, reading and listening skills.
6. Demonstrated expertise in at least one or more relevant areas, such as English Literature, Linguistics, Applied Linguistics, ELT, TESOL, or English Language and Communication.
7. Demonstrated ability in effective classroom teaching, student mentoring, curriculum development, course planning and academic assessment.
8. Proven research aptitude and the ability to undertake independent and collaborative research and contribute to scholarly publications.
9. Ability to assist in departmental administration, academic planning, examination activities, quality assurance and other institutional responsibilities.
10. Proficiency in ICT-based teaching methods, digital learning platforms and educational technologies.
11. Good communication, presentation, interpersonal, organisational and teamwork skills.
