Job Context:
∎ ASD is inviting application from committed & progressive development worker for the position of Case Worker at `Humanitarian assistance in the sectors of Protection, WASH, Shelter/NFI as well as Site Management & Site Development for Rohingya and host communities in Cox`s Bazar, Bangladesh` Project, Teknaf funded by Diakonie Katastrophenhilfe (DKH)-Germany and German Federal Foreign Office (GFFO). Candidates having at least 2 years` experience in Case Management, Adolescent Development & Women Empowerment with Emergency Response Team.
∎ POSITION PROFILE: The Case worker`s primary function is to ensure quality protection services for adolescents & women vulnerable to abuse, exploitation, neglect and violence and provide case management support in one of camp & Host community. She is responsible to oversee a team of outreach volunteers at the camp & host community level to ensure that all adolescents & women are risks free in social safety, dignity, rights and personal security. She will also make solidarity among Community Based Child Protection Committee (CBCPC), Adolescent Clubs, Youth Forum, Parents group with Women for their rights settlement against all negative consequences like abuse, exploitation, violence Adolescent girl`s insecurity & Gender Based Violence (GBV) are identified and receive individual case management support.
∎ The Case worker will also work as part of a project management team assigned to working area. She will engage with community structures, conducting assessments, developing and monitoring action plans, direct service provision, make referrals and case follow-ups for an assigned case load of children/adolescent & women. She will provide support to families including when foster and alternative care are required. The Case worker is responsible to develop/strengthen relationships with CIC`s, other organizations, camp governance structures and across ASD`s program at the field level and work in close collaboration with Protection and Case Management and Protection intervention. She with support from the Case Management Team is responsible for ensuring that the work of the team is compliant with donors and internal ASD reporting and accountability policy and procedures.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Assess individual protection issues identified during daily activities and make appropriate referrals for services to humanitarian or other actors as per the referral pathway or best practices.
∎ Train and support protection volunteers to identify and assist affected individuals.
∎ Identify cases in need of urgent response, guided by ASD's case management and SOPs, and directly follow-up/ accompany affected individuals to service providers when needed to ensure beneficiary access to services.
∎ Implement all steps of the case management process: including community outreach, case intake and initial assessment, detailed assessment and case planning, making referrals, case review, follow-up and case closure.
∎ Conduct daily visits to children/adolescent & women placed in alternative care (foster families) and provide ongoing support to families, foster and alternative care systems and develop case plan and interventions to return the child/adolescent home whenever possible.
∎ Ensure filing and documentation of all Protection cases using CPIMS & GBVIMS
∎ Assist to provide individual psychosocial support by PSS counselor to children/ adolescents & women and their care givers. Determine the need for therapeutic psychosocial, psychiatric support, health care, shelter, nutrition, NFI's for further referral to specialized services.
∎ Working with 'at risk' young people, their families, community leaders/ Maji and Protection team to provide family mediation when appropriate.
∎ Regularly attend CIC meetings at camp level and other relevant camp meetings.
∎ Liaise closely with protection/GBV actors in the field and other humanitarian partners to ensure an understanding of the overall issues and effective collaboration among partners an understanding that shall be used to guide weekly work plans.
∎ Work closely with other ASD staff, particularly protection monitoring, Community Based Protection (CBP), Gender Based Violence (GBV) and Child Protection (CP) to ensure synergy across programs and to mainstream protection across ASD's interventions.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Only females are allowed to apply
∎ At least 2 years' experience in Case Management, Adolescent Development & Women Empowerment with Emergency Response Team.
∎ At least 5 year(s) in development sector.
∎ The applicants should have experience in the following area(s): Case Work, Women violence & Child Protection
∎ Previous experience working with vulnerable Adolescent & women in a refugee setting, preferably in protection or a related field.
∎ Experience of working with non-governmental organization, UN, or local organization.
∎ Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with empathy and respect with individuals and groups from various backgrounds.
∎ Good communication skills & coordination.
∎ Ability to communicate in verbal and written English.
∎ Willingness and ability to work in field environment including in all weather conditions.
∎ Good organizational skills and capacity to work independently and as part of a dynamic team.
∎ Experience implementing Protection interventions and advocacy on behalf of vulnerable persons or groups.
∎ Ability to conduct training and awareness.
∎ Computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point with Bangla typing).
∎ Desirable: Knowledge and previous experience of the Rohingya refugee response in Bangladesh.
∎ Chittagonian language skills.
∎ Fluent in spoken English and strong writing/reporting skills in English.

Salary: Tk. 50000 (Monthly)
