Job Context:
∎ Action for Social Development (ASD) is inviting application from committed & progressive development worker for the position of Drop-In-Centre (DIC) in Charge for Development of Children at High Risk (DCHR) Project, funded by Bread for the World (BftW), Protestant Development Services, Germany.
∎ Job Nature: Full time (as long as the project continues)
∎ Job Location: Adabor-Mohammadpur, Dhaka
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Build rapport with the street children, child domestic worker (CDW), parents/ guardians of street children and employer of working children.
∎ Build good relationship with local community people in project working area and maintain cooperative relationship with the local level stakeholders.
∎ Collect street children and working children to provide services through field visit regular basis and work closely with the child domestic workers, street children, slum children and working children to overcome high risk situation.
∎ Ensure basic services such as shelter, safety, nutrition, education, health, and hygiene and recreation to change lifestyle and behavior of DIC beneficiaries.
∎ Arrange and facilitate different session with DIC children, parents and other key stakeholder of DIC.
∎ Prepare report and keep record of all day to day activities and provide update to project management.
∎ Assist Project Manager (PM) to prepare progress report and financial report to implement and monitoring of project activities.
∎ Facilitate skills and psycho-social development of the children of DIC.
∎ Manage DIC staff according to the HR policy and practices of the organization.
∎ Perform any other reasonable duties and tasks as requested by the PM and the respective supervisors.
Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 01 year working experience with vulnerable children or running children's DIC or experience of right-based activities is required.
∎ Operating word, excel and PowerPoint and report writing skill, Strong understanding of child rights, gender equality, sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV) in normal and emergency situation would be considered as valuable skill.
Salary: Tk. 20566 (Monthly)
