Job Context:
∎ Resource Integration Centre (RIC) is a national NGO since 1981 in Bangladesh. RIC is going to implement a project “Fresh Food Corners/Market Linkage” supported by World Food Programme (WFP). The project’s implementation areas are Ramu and Ukhiya Upazila under Cox’s Bazar district. RIC is seeking application from the potential candidate for the below mentioned position:
∎ PROJECT: Fresh Food Corners/Market Linkage, WFP
∎ Location: Ramu and Ukhiya, Cox’s Bazar.
∎ Grade/Scale: V/17
∎ Post type: Initial Contract (April’ 2022 – September’ 2022) expected to be renewed till December’ 2022
∎ Appointment: Immediate
∎ SCOPE OF ROLE:
∎ Staff reportable to: Project Manager
∎ Staff maintain liaison with: Project Assistant-Technical, MEO, AAAO, Field Officer, Field Assistant and WFP Officials
∎ Staff based at Ramu, Cox’s Bazar.
∎ Working Hours & Location: Eight hours and will work 6 days a week
Job Responsibilities:
∎ OVERALL, ROLE OF THIS POSITION:
∎ Coordinate in field level all activities for achieving project objectives;
∎ Conduct meetings with local authorities at camps and upazila level and others to support effective inter-organizational communication.
∎ Implement market linkage activities closely with the ML team, liaise with Agriculture, Livestock and Fishery offices;
∎ Systematic support and follow-up on all ML activities in the groups
∎ Prepare weekly and monthly plans and reports and submit to Project Manager;
∎ Identify potential companies/farms to establish viable and profitable linkages.
∎ Maintain gender and equality following the organizational policy and practice
∎ Provide high level supervisory and managerial support to the project team for developing their technical skills and professional competencies;
∎ All kind of positive motivation to support and response in emergency;
∎ Provide support to the Monitoring and Evaluation Officer in tracking project progress and make necessary adjustment in consultation with the Project Manager;
∎ Facilitate linkages between FFC/Outlet and beneficiaries and link producers to new market opportunities;
∎ Provide support to the Field Officers in implementing the project activities at field level;
∎ KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTIBILITIES:
∎ A. The Field Coordinator will be responsible for all field level activities implementation.
∎ B. Responsible for liaison with upazila level GO-NGO;
∎ C. Other responsibilities assigned by the supervisor.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at most 50 years
∎ WORKING EXPERIENCES:
∎ At least 5-7 years working experience.
∎ At least 3 years working experiences as market linkage in similar project in a reputed NGO/INGO.
∎ Have experience in field coordination.
∎ JOB RELATED KONWLEDGE:
∎ Sound Knowledge on market linkage to FFC and local market, value chain of agro products, etc.
∎ NECESSARY SKILLS:
∎ Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in teams and multi-cultural environments.
∎ Good report writing in English.
∎ Fluency in Bengali and English is required. A Chittagong local language is preferable.
∎ Computer software skill (MS-Word, Excel and Access, SPSS, etc.). Experienced on computer application.
∎ Excellent E-mail communication both with donors and partners.
∎ Habituated to extensive field work
∎ Need reporting skills and mail communication to WFP
Salary: Tk. 85000 (Monthly)
