Job Context:
∎ Duty Station/ organization: Mother and Child Health Centre, Teknaf/ Bangladesh Red Crescent society, Population Movement Operation
∎ Reporting to: Secretary, BDRCS Cox Bazar unit and lateral reporting to HoO PMO
∎ Period of contract: Fixed term contract for one year, and extension subject to performance and fund availability
∎ Purpose : Overall responsible for MCHC management, patient care, networking, coordination, reporting and decision making
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Responsible for the overall technical and administrative oversight of the MCHC/ SRH services
∎ Ensure a strong partnership with MoH and other stakeholders in the Upazilla
∎ Plan and implement outreach activities with the rest of the team to access "hard to reach" and vulnerable beneficiaries to increase service utilization
∎ Oversee the training of community volunteers to provide community mobilization and awareness raising
∎ Ensure regular inventory and consumption tracking of medical drugs and supplies
∎ Work with relevant staff to ensure prompt requesting of medical drugs and supplies
∎ Ensure all patient consultations are documented and patient records completed
∎ Assist and supervise medical staff in maintaining facility registers and other data
∎ collection tools, ensuring accurate and timely recording of information
∎ Assist and supervise medical staff in daily collection, compilation, and reporting of Data
∎ Submit daily reports in a timely manner
∎ Will conduct any other tasks assigned by supervisor.
∎ Duties applicable to all staff:
∎ 1.Actively work towards the achievement of MCHC objectives
∎ 2.Abide by and work in accordance with Red Cross and Red Crescent principles and code of conduct
∎ 3Perform any other work assigned by the authority
Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum 5 years' experience in management of health facility, experience in management of health facilities and staff, previous experience of supervising and mentoring health staff and facility.
∎ Ability and flexibility to understand the cultural and political environment and to work well with the local health representatives. Excellent communication skills and proficiency in English required
∎ Skills to provide sensitive and appropriate medical counselling
∎ Team oriented with excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work under pressure in a stressful environment, displaying patience, compassion, and diplomacy
∎ Excellent verbal communication skills and concise report writing skills
∎ Able to work in a multi-culture environment, able to take pressure, teamwork, self-motivated, organized, hardworking, and flexible regarding work hour and ability to live and work in challenging conditions
