Job Context:
∎ Resource Integration Centre (RIC) is a national NGO since 1981 in Bangladesh. RIC is going to implement a project “Fresh Food Corners/Market Linkage” supported by World Food Programme (WFP). The project’s implementation areas are Ramu and Ukhiya Upazila under Cox’s Bazar district. RIC is seeking application from the potential candidate for the below mentioned position:
∎ Position: Project Manager (1)
∎ PROJECT: Fresh Food Corners/Market Linkage, WFP
∎ Location: Ramu and Ukhiya, Cox’s Bazar.
∎ Grade/Scale: IV/21
∎ Post type: Initial Contract (April’ 2022 – September’ 2022) expected to be renewed till December’ 2022
∎ Appointment: Immediate
∎ SCOPE OF ROLE:
∎ • Staff reportable to: Focal Person
∎ • Staff maintain liaison with: Field Coordinator, Project Assistant-Technical, MEO, AAAO and WFP Officials
∎ • Staff based at Ramu, Cox’s Bazar.
∎ • Working Hours & Location: Eight hours and will work 6 days a week

Job Responsibilities:
∎ OVERALL, ROLE OF THIS POSITION:
∎ Manage/Coordinate in achieving programmatic objectives; planning, implementation and progress monitoring, budget utilization and ensure approval and endorsement of all plans;
∎ Coordinate regular planning, accountability and follow up of key performance indicators and overall quality assurance issues;
∎ Coordinate and follow up external engagement, collaborations and advocacy;
∎ Responsible for managing the program, admin, logistics and finance team in implementing the project;
∎ Responsible for managing the project's outcomes and ensuring that all level targets and deliverables are met. He or she will provide strategic vision and oversight to these project activities;
∎ Provide technical expertise and manage technical staff working in areas such as agribusiness, enhanced agricultural production, post-harvest handling, storage, and processing, improved food safety and security, improved market linkages, business development, capacity building of project staff.
∎ Guide project work on end market research and analysis and supervise the dissemination of information to stakeholders and potential Farmers and traders.
∎ Advise the M&E as needed in capturing all the anticipated benefits from value chain interventions.
∎ Give proper direction if any sudden problem occurs & how to solve them and keep supportive supervision.
∎ Provide technical and management support.
∎ Coordinate with different stakeholders and participate different Coordination meetings.
∎ Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the project's goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise for establishing a safe working environment.
∎ Follow up the project financial complains and review the expenditures for necessary approval;
∎ Prepare narrative reports and documents the project outcomes.
∎ Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual work plan and reports to accomplish the targeted activities;
∎ Assist to maintain liaison with the relevant Government department (national and local).
∎ In addition to that any other duties and responsibilities may assigned by the organization which need to be carried out.
∎ KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTIBILITIES:
∎ A. The Project Manager will be responsible for overall management of the project.
∎ B. Responsible for achieving programmatic objectives;
∎ C. Preparation of reports (monthly, quarterly and yearly) maintenance, expenditure and work plan.
∎ D. Other responsibilities assigned by the supervisor.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at most 55 years
∎ WORKING EXPERIENCES:
∎ At least 10-12 years working experience.
∎ At least 3 years working experiences as market linkage in similar project in a reputed NGO/INGO.
∎ Have experience in management.
∎ Experience with WFP Project Management is an advantage.
∎ JOB RELATED KONWLEDGE:
∎ Sound Knowledge on market linkage to FFC, value chain of agro products, etc.
∎ NECESSARY SKILLS:
∎ Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in teams and multi-cultural environments.
∎ Good report writing in English
∎ Fluency in Bengali and English is required. A Chittagong local language is preferable.
∎ Computer software skill (MS-Word, Excel and Access, SPSS, etc.). Experienced on computer application.
∎ Excellent E-mail communication both with donors and partners.
∎ Habituated to extensive field work
∎ Need reporting skills and mail communication to WFP

Salary: Tk. 100000 (Monthly)
