Job Context:
∎ The Centre for Disability in Development (CDD) is a not for profit organization established in 1996 to develop a more inclusive society for persons with disabilities. CDD simultaneously builds technical capacities of the development stakeholders and the communities in how to be more inclusive whilst also enabling persons with a disability to participate in society by strengthening their leadership and providing them with essential rehabilitation and other supports.
∎ CDD is one of the most renowned organizations in the field of disability-inclusive development. CDD`s work in Bangladesh is supported by international and national donor agencies/development partners. CDD offers an inclusive, amicable, and respectable work environment.
∎ The Ramon Magsaysay Award (Asian version of the Noble prize) has been awarded to its Executive Director in 2010. In 2018, CDD was recognized by the Government of Bangladesh as one of the best organizations working on disability and development issues.
∎ CDD is accepting application under the project named `Shobai Miley Shikhi Activity (SMSA)`, funded by USAID and supported by RTI International.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Meet with the parents, caregivers, and community people to provide required education support and promote their knowledge, skills, and attitude regarding inclusive education.
∎ Develop relationships with upazila and district-level social service officials, primary education, JPUF, and other stakeholders related to the IE project at the local level to promote quality primary education for learners with disabilities.
∎ Maintain effective collaboration and communication with self-help groups, OPDs, and disability-focused development organizations to engage them in the process of inclusive education in their respective communities.
∎ Maintain linkage with union parishads and municipalities and mobilize them to extend their cooperation and contribution to promoting inclusive environment in schools
∎ Mobilize and influence local government authorities to support learners with disabilities with assistive devices and other rehabilitation needs (accessibility, reasonable adjustments) and facilitate their engagement at schools.
∎ Document field-level progress and prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
∎ Steer regular and need-based coordination meetings with the project partners and other local-level stakeholders
∎ Monitor the school and community-based activities implemented by SCFs and supervise them to bring the desired outcome for learners with disabilities.
∎ Develop and manage database information for the basis of providing basic rehabilitation support services to learners with disabilities.
∎ Organize and attend joint monitoring visits conducted by CDD, SCI, and RTI during the project period and track field-level progress.
∎ Prepare monthly action plan and maintain time sheet regularly.
∎ Organize need-based motivation and mentoring sessions for the SCFs.
∎ Perform any other duties/assignments as assigned by the authority.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 22 to 45 years
∎ Minimum 5 years work experience in education field
∎ Prior working experiences in government primary schools/Education and surrounding communities in the rural and semi-urban context
∎ Strong interpersonal communication skills
∎ Experience in organizing training, workshop, meeting, and dialogues with the relevant stakeholders
∎ Ability to prepare different reports including monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
∎ Strong ability in coordination and monitoring of field-level activities.
∎ Ability to collaborate, a willingness to innovate, and an ability to think systematically
∎ Problem-solving and analytical skills
∎ A proven ability to achieve concrete results under the constraints
∎ Experienced with IT-based reporting is an asset
∎ Oral and written fluency in Bangla and English is required.
∎ Willingness to be based in the remote districts under the mentioned Division
∎ Willingness to undertake extensive field trip
∎ Prepared to work for long hours in case of emergency
∎ The position is open to Bangladeshi nationals only.

Salary: Tk. 55000 (Monthly)
