Senior Network Administrator- IT, BOGCL

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Computer Science, ICT, Networking or equivalent practical experience.

• At least 5 years

• Age At least 30 years

• CCNA or equivalent practical networking knowledge is preferred; CCNP or firewall/vendor certification is an advantage.

• Hands-on experience with enterprise switches, routers, wireless platforms, firewalls and network troubleshooting.

• TCP/IP, subnetting, VLANs, STP, LACP, routing, VPN, QoS and network segmentation.

• Cisco or equivalent switching/routing platforms, firewall and wireless administration.

• Network monitoring, packet capture, configuration backups and secure device management.

• Network security, firmware lifecycle, documentation and incident/change management.

• Structured troubleshooting, stakeholder coordination and service-provider management.

Bashundhara Oil and Gas Company Ltd. (BOGCL), is looking for some competent candidates for the Position of "Senior Network Administrator- IT" at Dhaka.

The talent we are looking for will be the following experience:

A. Network Design, Administration and Support

• Configure, operate and troubleshoot LAN, WAN, WLAN, VLANs, inter-VLAN routing, routing protocols and site-to-site connectivity.

• Administer managed switches, routers, wireless controllers, access points and firewalls within approved authority.

• Maintain IP addressing, subnetting, DHCP scopes, DNS dependencies, network diagrams, port maps and configuration backups.

B. Monitoring, Performance and Connectivity

• Monitor bandwidth, latency, packet loss, interface errors, device health and service availability; investigate recurring performance issues.

• Support internet circuits, VPN connectivity, redundancy and failover, and coordinate service-provider escalations.

• Conduct site surveys, Wi-Fi coverage assessments, capacity planning and structured cabling / fiber troubleshooting.

C. Enterprise Systems Integration and Security

• Coordinate connectivity for IP telephony, CCTV, access control, attendance devices, meeting rooms, servers and business applications.

• Implement approved network security controls, segmentation, ACLs, secure management access, firmware updates and configuration hardening.

• Collaborate with systems, cybersecurity, support and project teams on new sites, migrations and infrastructure upgrades.

D. Change, Documentation and Vendor Management

• Plan and execute network changes through approved requests, impact assessments, maintenance windows and rollback procedures.

• Maintain network device inventory, warranties, licenses, support contracts and configuration standards.

• Document incidents, root causes, corrective actions, topology changes and provider performance.
