Must be able to work with minimum supervision and have the ability to follow up on implementations.
Confident interpersonal and communication skills; ability to communicate technical HR information clearly and concisely.
Full mobility to travel frequently.
Responsibilities & Context
Assist in preparing and updating site-specific HSE plans, risk assessments, and JSAs for fabrication and erection activities.
Conduct daily site and workshop inspections, record findings, and follow up until corrective actions are closed.
Monitor the issuing and closure of Permits to Work for hot work, lifting, and work at height, and ensure they are displayed and enforced.
Carry out toolbox talks and safety briefings for welders, fitters, riggers, and erection crews before each shift.
Verify PPE use, machine guarding, housekeeping, and fire safety arrangements at workshops and client sites.
Support contractor and subcontractor safety, including safety induction and checking of crew competency records.
Assist in incident reporting, near-miss recording, and preliminary investigation, and share findings with the Head of HSE.
Maintain HSE records, registers, training matrices, and inspection logs in line with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 requirements.
Coordinate with production and project supervisors to ensure HSE requirements are built into daily work schedules.
Participate in emergency drills and support the implementation of the emergency response plan at fabrication and client sites.
