Proficiency in CAD pattern software such as Gerber, Lectra or equivalent, along with manual pattern-making skills.
Ability to interpret buyer tech packs, size charts and fit comments accurately.Sound knowledge of fabric properties, shrinkage and their impact on fit and consumption.
Strong problem-solving skills to resolve fit and production-related technical issues.
Ability to lead a pattern team, coordinate across departments and manage multiple development deadlines.
Good communication skills in English for handling buyer requirements and technical correspondence.
Responsibilities & Context
We are seeking an experienced Manager, Pattern Technology to lead pattern development for woven garments, ensuring accurate fit, efficient fabric utilization and timely sample development. The role will coordinate with relevant teams to deliver production-ready patterns that meet buyer specifications.
Key Responsibilities
Develop accurate CAD/manual patterns from design sketches, tech packs and buyer specifications.
Ensure correct grading, measurements and fit across all size ranges.
Prepare efficient markers and support fabric consumption calculations to minimize wastage.
Review fit comments, make timely pattern corrections and track revisions through buyer approval.
Coordinate with Design, Merchandising and Sample Room teams to meet sampling timelines.
Maintain pattern libraries and version control, guide junior pattern makers and ensure accurate pattern handover to factories.
