∎ Action for Social Development (ASD) is inviting application from committed & progressive development worker for the position of Community Mobilizer- LRC for The Right to Education and Social Protection of Deprived Children at High Risk in Bangladesh (RESH) Project, funded by Bread for the World (BftW) Germany. Candidates having at least 3 years` work experience in Child Development and willing to work anywhere in Dhaka City is requested to apply.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Community Mobilizer- LRC under the direct supervision of LRC In charge of RESH Project is primarily responsible to assist In charge- LRC for operating Learning and Recreation Centre (LRC) and providing education and awareness services to working children.
∎ Assist LRC In charge for running Learning and Recreation Center (LRC).
∎ Conduct survey and selection of working children.
∎ Enroll working Children in LRC and ensure their participation in session.
∎ Ensure child friendly environment in the LRC.
∎ Prepare session and lesson plan.
∎ Conduct education and awareness raising sessions.
∎ Assist children to ensure their mental growth and leadership development.
∎ Assist to develop education and awareness raising materials.
∎ Assist LRC In charge to organize meeting with different stakeholder and conduct meeting discussion.
∎ Arrange national and International day observation/ celebrate with the LRC children.
∎ Build rapport with the employer, guardian and local community people.
∎ Prepare progress report and submit to project office.
∎ Maintain official documentation and communicate with the reporting officials.
∎ Assist others in the project if needed
∎ Perform any other reasonable duties and tasks as requested by project management.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 22 years
∎ Only males are allowed to apply
∎ At least 3 years of experience in development sector specially with disadvantaged children
∎ The applicants should have experience in the following area(s): General knowledge about working children, their life, problems and requirements, laws and policies for them. He also should have skill to work in the slum area where working children mostly gather.
∎ Applicants should have interest to work in a team, in the slum areas of Dhaka City for the purpose of serving the working children.
∎ Strong understanding of child rights, Gender equality, Child Marriage, Sexual and Gender Based Violence (SGBV) in normal and emergency situation
∎ Ability to communicate with people from different cultures.
∎ Report writing skills.
Salary: Tk. 13877 (Monthly)
