Educational Requirements:
∎ Diploma in Agriculture, Diploma in Forestry or Bachelor degree in any discipline with at least two years of relevant experience. Fresh graduates (Bachelor Degree) in Agriculture/Forestry/Animal Husbandry/Social Work with some relevant work experience (internship, project work, research activity, etc.) will also be considered.

Job Context:
∎ Arannayk Foundation (AF) is a not-for-profit organization devoted to forest and biodiversity conservation in Bangladesh since 2003. It has applied for a fund under the USAID Local Works Bangladesh Activities to undertake a project on conservation and rehabilitation of forests/tree cover in Ukhia, Cox`s Bazar, where massive deforestation and degradation of forests have taken place due to the influx of the forcibly displaced Myanmar nationals (Rohingya). The project will mainly focus on sustainable livelihood development of the affected poor people in the host communities through technical skills and market linkage development for diversified income generating activities and on capacity development of local institutions on forest conservation. The project is expected to start from February 2019 and its duration will be 3 (three) years.
∎ Subject to the donor`s approval of the proposed project, the AF intends to hire a number of `Field Facilitators` for the same. The main tasks for this position would be, but not necessarily limited to, the following:
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Conducting PRA exercises and questionnaire surveys for participant selection and other activities of the project.
∎ Organizing and facilitating community/group meetings and farmer field school (FFS) sessions.
∎ Setting up demonstration plots on improved horticultural/agroforestry/animal husbandry practices/technologies.
∎ Accompaniment support to FDG members in implementation of AIGA and other development activities.
∎ Facilitating establishment and operation of participatory savings schemes and revolving loan fund by the project participants.
∎ Monitoring of organizational development and management (ODM) and income generating activities of the project participants.
∎ Facilitating improved access of the farmers to markets and extension/technical service providers.
∎ Guiding community development volunteers to provide ODM assistance to the community groups including village conservation forums (VCF).
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at most 40 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ Able to drive motor cycle and possess valid driving license.
∎ Subject to fulfillment of other criteria as mentioned above, women and candidates having language skills in the local dialect of Cox's Bazar will be given higher preference.
Salary: Tk. 35000 - 40000 (Monthly)
Compensation & Other Benefits:
∎ The gross monthly salary for the position will be within the range of Tk 35,000 - Tk 40,000.
