Ferry Coordination Officer

A bachelor’s degree in Transport Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline will be preferred.

• Age 25 to 40 years

Relevant experience in ferry coordination, transport operations, ferry scheduling, and vehicle movement management will be preferred.

Practical experience in ferry terminal operations, ferry transportation, transport operations, or related fields. Candidates with previous work experience at a ferry terminal/ferry gate will be given preference.

Strong skills in ferry scheduling, booking, and coordination of vehicle movement.

Good communication and coordination skills with relevant government and private authorities.

Ability to make quick decisions and effectively coordinate vehicle movement during emergencies or unexpected situations.

Job Summary:

Our organization operates a large number of vehicles from various factories that regularly travel by ferry. To ensure smooth, timely, and safe ferry transportation of these vehicles, we are looking for a Ferry Coordination Officer.

Job Responsibilities

• Regularly collect, monitor, and update ferry schedules and timings for different routes.

• Arrange and confirm ferry bookings/slots for company vehicles as required.

• Prepare and coordinate accurate schedules indicating which vehicle will board which ferry and at what time.

• Ensure that vehicles arrive at the ferry terminal on time and are loaded onto the designated ferry as scheduled.

• Supervise the safe and orderly loading and unloading of vehicles onto and from ferries.

• Maintain regular communication and coordination with relevant ferry terminal authorities, officers, and staff.

• Take prompt alternative measures in case of ferry delays, schedule changes, cancellations, or other operational issues, and immediately inform the relevant stakeholders.

• Maintain daily records and necessary information regarding ferry operations and vehicle crossings.

• Perform any other duties related to ferry and vehicle movement coordination as assigned by management.
